KHM512WH 5-Speed Ultra Power Hand Mixer, White

I ordered this mixer because I make large batches of Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies. After I add the oatmeal, nuts and chocolate chips the dough weighs 7 1/2 pounds. I am 91 years old and stirring all of that together was getting to be just too much and the family still wanted me to make the cookies. This mixer can handle it!! I mix the flour, sugar, margarine, eggs, and flour with the regular blades and then switch to the twisty blades when I add the oatmeal etc. The power of this mixer is amazing and it is quiet and the blades can be changed easily. A wonderful mixer that will keep me making cookie for a long time!!

Love the mixer.... blades not so much. Cheaply made, bend out of shape easily which causes mixer to vibrate.

I got this one to replace a mixer that my mother-in-law used daily to make her egg custards. I hadn't used it up till now, but today wanted to make butter cookies, so finally put it into action. It worked well until the 2nd cup of flour, and then started to have issues going through the thicker mix. It did well initially with just the butter, sugar, egg white and vanilla, though. I like the ease of changing between speeds, and it was easy to ejects the beaters at the end for cleaning. It's also easy to see which one goes where because of the picture on the underside of the mixer. There was no odor, it was easy to store, and it was pretty easy to get the dough off the beaters. I'll try it again once I make a cupcake recipe tomorrow that will have a soupier batter. I like how the cords came all strapped up, so I could just pull out one link, and it was enough to get it to the outlet. That way, I didn't have a mile of cord that I have to wind around the machine every time. I'll let you know how durable it is, since I'm planning on baking more over the summer. Did not try it all the way to 5 because it was going pretty fast at 4, but will let you know as well when I'm making whipped cream if I have a problem. Love the neutral color. Looking nothing like my KitchenAid stand mixer, but so much easier to use. Perfect gift for a new bride/ person with their first apartment or house. "A" Works well unless making really thick mixes. Probably better for cakes and cupcakes than cookies/fruit loaves. I didn't have any adds in my mix, but will try with chocolate chips soon as well to see if it can take a mix with chunks.
