Not what you expect
It’s not that bad when it comes to the quality. Definitely professional, seems a bit off for the weights to have plastic handles but thinking about it that makes the mechanism work better than if it were metal, no scratching noise or screech, only clicking of the locking mechanism when switching weights. It’s pretty safe from what I’ve seen the locking mechanism works as long as the pins which stick out on the bottom don’t have pressure applied to them due to an upward pressure motion it should be fine. It switches weights quickly and I would say if they made the weights a little more standard going up by 5 or 10 it would get a five from me other than that nothing I have to say to complain about it. Worth the price long term.

Weights will go in backwards but won't adjust!
Overall I'm happy with the purchase. I had/have 2 x 35lbs dumb bells. I really like being able to adjust between 28, 40 and 52lbs with just a click. The stand came damaged but still functional. I don't know how to get it replaced without returning the whole set?

Does the job and saves a lot of room, still kinda afraid it might fall on my face when I lift it over but it hasn’t yet

** AMAZING UPDATE **So guess what? When I first wrote this, I was contacted within a day. I went out of state and a new base was here by the time I came back, talk about a great end to a vacation!!! I really had to share this experience, so there you have it.To the person that helped me:Easy to talk to and completely floored by how fast it was from your end. Phenomenal service, thank you for your help and the outstanding experience.*** PLEASE HELP, BROKEN BASE ***First, let me say that these look amazing for the price range and are easy to shift the weight on them. Now as far as the base, it arrived broken and from the comments or outside reviews this is the biggest fault they have.Mine is broken in two pieces and you actually need the base to manipulate the weight needed for your exercise session, without the base you are not able to manipulate it at all. It says to call the company directly for help, but cannot find a number to see how they may be able to help me.*** PLEASE HELP, BROKEN BASE ***

Weights don't work if put back on the base backwards
I found out the hardway that the weights need to be put back on the base the same way they came off. Maybe the 2 sides should be different colors as well as the base.

Decent dumbbells
You have to face them the exact way as removed so painted one side to keep them straight. First pair had some broken plastic so they exchanged for me. The new ones are good so far.
