Backstory: I recently gave my dad a guitar to replace a guitar that I had lost some years ago.Though, my dad has never really played guitar and I have for over 20 years.He recently retired and has an interest in learning to play guitar.I can't be over there all the times he wants to learn something, so I bought this book.Book review: As a seasoned guitar player, I didn't need this book.But, with experience, I went through most of it in less than an hour to check out the qualityof content for an adult beginner.Fantastic guide to get anyone on the right track to playing quite well.The exercises are informative and practical. And even a long time player can learn a trick or two.If all goes well for my dad with the book, it will likely inspire him to get the second book!Good luck to all on your musical journey!

I'm currently learning the guitar and needed a quick and easy beginners guide to get me started. It's a very easy and informative read. I have a background with the piano and I took classes, but I recommend this book to the guitar player who has never touched a guitar before. It also teaches finger placement, proper posture, and chords.
