Great adapter it is compatible for my use. Works great with my older iPad.

The WiFi broke on my wife's old iPad and could not be resurrected. We wanted to close out our Apple account because that was the only device that used it. However, we could not log into the Apple account without the iPad, which could not connect to the internet. So you can see the vicious circle we were stuck in. I found this gizmo on Amazon. I plugged it into the iPad, a wall charger and the ethernet cable and it worked instantly. Also the iPad charged through the device while it was being used. Now we will probably keep the account and the device so my wife can FaceTime with her sister in Arkansas like she used to. We still have some cable management issues to work out, but I couldn't be happier with the product.

This would be a great adapter, IF IT WORKED. It keeps dropping the connection every few seconds. Then there is no connection for few seconds and it comes back. So the app that I have uploading pictures has to reset every few seconds. It says no internet connection, then it comes back. Then no internet connection, and then it comes back. Every few seconds. And, then my app crashes and I have to start all over. I also see this connection disappearing every few seconds on my Settings / Ethernet Connection on my phone. It loads the IP information every few seconds and then goes blank. Then it comes back, then it goes blank. Anyways, I am very disappointed. I have had the adapter for 4 months. At first I thought it was my CAT6 cable, and I switched that out. I am so very disappointed in my adapter, and more disappointed that it took so long to learn it does not work for me.

These have proved the most long-lasting of all the dongle-style adapters I've tried. Word to the wise: if you have connectivity problems or just outright can't get a signal, it's almost always on the RJ-45 end in my experience. Dedicate a table then use tape or zip ties to secure the clip end as firmly as possible, locking it to the port. The clip won't hold on its own even if you set it outside the tab it rests on. Trust, I've tried. You probably won't notice the cable slipping, and it won't outright pop from the socket. Thing is it doesn't have to for the connection to drop. Tape, zip ties, maybe a bit of e6000 to attach a clipless cable end -- these hacks make all the different. They raised one of these exact adapters from the dead and made another like it far more reliable. I'll be strap locking in all the RJ-45 cables I use with dongle-style adapters from now on.

This unit charges my phone and is faster connecting than my previous unit with 100mbs. It's about 30% faster at minimum than my previous unit. I think lightning port by itself is 480mbs, usb 2, so that is probably why you would not get the full 1000mbs because the way apple made the port. However, this unit is still faster and for everyday use, the extra long cord is awesome.

This product works really well! Over 250Mbps download speed when connected to a VPN. That’s good! Advice: If you will use it for more than ten minutes, make sure it is on a cool surface with no flammable items around. It gets very hot! So just be careful.

Works perfectly for iPads. I work in tech at a school and this is super helpful when setting up iPads with our MDM. The light is very helpful to make sure it's plugged in and the ethernet cable is sending traffic. The cable is decently long which is great. If you are setting up iPads in bulk, this is a great tool.

horrible. stopped working in less than 90 days. cheap device. don't waste your money.
