Worked For Me
I used this adapter to install a SSD in a 25 year old Dell desktop. The Startech adapter didn't work for me buy this one did.

The descriptions in Amazon for most adaptors leaves something to be desired
Allowed my IDE drive to be accessed by an SATA wired motherboard.

IDE to SATA HDD
Nicely converted my old IDE external HDD box to run the newer SATA drives so I was able to go from 10 GB to 1.0 Ts.

Very poor quality construction
Big solder globs between SATA connector and circuit board. I see obviously reheated solder joints and splatter on both the IDE and SATA connector attachments to the circuit board. Not sure if this is the reason that the computer does not recognize the drive, but this product did not work. I've done circuit board work, so I know what I'm looking at. Also it was put in the shipping box with a heavy 3.5" hard drive with no bubble wrap protection for this fragile device other than the foil anti-static plastic sleeve.

Long boot or timeout on Xbox
If you are planning on using this on a softmodded Xbox, please be aware that this adapter extends the boot up time significantly. Using an 80 conductor cable does not resolve the issue. Get the Startech one if you you want fast boots or resolve timeouts.

レビューのタイトル通りですが、この機器をマスターとスレーブ両方につなぐと、BIOSが機器を認識するのにやたら時間かかります（パソコンの電源を起動して、BIOSがハードディスクを認識するのに20秒ぐらいかかりました） 環境次第でそうなるかもしれません

Perfetto il disco rigido SATA viene riconosciuto come EIDE IDE PATA (funziona anche su un PC Pentium 166MMX)

Terrible timo
Lo quería para restaurar un HDD IDE usando uno SATA, pero esta placa es terrible. No detecta la unidad, es como si no funcionase. Ni con hdds SATA, ni con DVDs SATA. Es un timo.

Recomendable
Envío: Llegó rápido, el empaque bien sellado, todo ok! Instalación: Se colocó un SSD del lado de la conexión SATA y el cable molex y el IDE en el convertidor sin mayor complicación, no se le movió el jumper de master. Configuración: Ninguna, el BIOS lo identificó como disco duro IDE y sin mayor problema.

SATAのHDDをIDEケーブルで接続するために購入。 問題なく使用できていますがハズレ個体を引いた場合は 基板にはんだクラックが生じている可能性があります。 購入したら問題がないか最初にチェックするといいでしょう。
