Amazing product!
Ive only had this product for a few days, but I’m already seeing results and love it! I originally bought this product to try and save my hands from the abuse they take at the gym. This balm is not too greasy, has a light smell, and so far is doing a nice job of repairing some rough patches on my hands. Surprisingly, I have found it to be highly effective at lessening the itch of the numerous bug bites on my legs and quickly healing those that I’ve scratched. My body seems to be slow to heal after I’ve scratched open bug bites- I’ve had some marks for months. However, after using this product for 2 days, I can already see all of the bites (old and new) healing. Plus, this has worked better to calm the itch than any other product I’ve tried.

Cheaper alternative
I got this to moisturize my stretched ears and other healed piercings as an alternative to “ear butter” and all the other piercing products out there. This tin is about 10 times bigger (not even kidding) than one of those products and cheaper. This also uses pretty much the same ingredients, and the ingredients it’s missing it’s using another natural plant that achieves the same outcome in terms of natural scent elimination or natural bacterial killing. I’ve been using this for a few weeks now and I couldn’t be happier with the product. In short DO NOT fall for marketing when it comes to piercing products. If you are looking for a hydrating balm or a “ear butter” type product, give this a try!

Its worth the buy guys.
You can tell the its a quality comfrey salve because of the intense green color. That means they soaked the comfrey in oil for a long time to get the good healing qualities out of it. Also used a lot of essential oils since you can smell them before applying the salve on skin. When I made my own comfrey salve I used a fair amount of essential oils but I didnt smell them until I applied it. Quality stuff here for a reasonable price. Comfrey salves are awesome for healing anything from cuts and bruises quicker to even broken bones. They dont call it "knit-bone" for nothing.

EO in a tin of salve
This is my second time purchasing this gem. It lasts forever.Recently, I took it with me to Shawnee National Forest because I would be away from home for a time, hiking, and knew I might get a blister and of course I did. This stuff saved me. My partner was swimming in the pool and scraped his foot on the concrete. This stuff saved him. Slather it onto any burn or cut and let the healing begin. I also used it to rub into my super dry cuticles and didn’t have to deal with hang nails while away from my manicure tools . This stuff is luxuriously delicious and smells divine. Highly recommend.

Great Product... BUT... Poor Labeling - Needs Warning!
Let me start off by saying: I love this product, it contains a great combination of botanicals/herbs that work in a synergistic manner to provide relief from bug bites, bruises, scrapes, etc. The ingredients in it are all well-documented (some significantly throughout human history) as having a beneficial effect on skin damage/scarring. I use a variety of Svasthya's products, most notably their face balm, which I use daily. For instance, when I went to Key West, my back and arms were practically infested with noseeum bites, which were warm, raised, and EXTREMELY itchy! This product helped relieve the itch, heal the skin, and keep the area sanitized--when nothing conventional was working! HOWEVER, while the labeling mentions "it should only be used on older wounds," they fail to mention WHY. Comfrey, one of the herbs used in this product, *cannot* be used on open wounds of any kind! That means that you can't use it on burns that cause blistering or exposure of the lower dermal layers OR fresh wounds. The wounds have to be in the late stages of healing, completely closed, with no exposed subcutaneous/dermis tissue (anything below the epidermis, or top layer of exposed skin -- "living tissue"). Comfrey contains some pyrrolizidine alkaloids, which are toxic to the liver and can do damage at higher doses. While Comfrey is safe to use topically, exposure to those alkaloids increases significantly when it has access to the bloodstream or if used on mucous membranes (lips, nips, sexual organs). You should wait until you're sure a cut has closed below the exposed skin, as any product that increases the speed of epidermal healing can cause the tissue to close top-down, which can lead to abscesses--icky! It should also be noted that products containing comfrey should not be used in people with hepatitis or impaired liver function, as well as pregnant/breastfeeding women. Although complications are relatively rare, they've been noted enough times throughout history to facilitate at least a basic warning on the label! I'll up my review to 5-stars if they commit to including a warning!
