Eight Months Later, Still a Good Brush
I was on the fence with this for quite some time before purchasing it. A lot of reviews had stated that, as a dry brush, it works well, but it falls apart when you use any kind of solution on it.Well, I've had this brush for eight months now, and so far... so good. Now, to be fair, I haven't used this with solution all that much - maybe a dozen times or so - as I primarily use my older brush still, partly out of fear that this thing will start falling apart of me. So far, fortunately, I haven't experienced any kind of issue with wet-cleaning with this brush. I'm hoping maybe the company fixed the glue issue other reviewers were talking about. As a dry brush, it does what it's supposed to - it picks up dust decently and improves the sound of my records. I'm no self-professed audiophile, and admittedly don't have the ear that some audiophiles do (I grew up in the 80s, so a Walkman was my weapon of choice back in the day), and so this brush fits my needs perfectly. It picks up a significant amount of dust from grooves and the replacement covers for the brush are inexpensive. If you have records, and are sick of staring at review after review that contradict each other for each and every brush you look at, I think you'll be happy with this.

Works Fine
Material seems to be the same.Size is not exact but still works well.Adhesive backing is 3M 300LSE.Price is very reasonable considering it is a MoFi product.

Works well with vacuum machine VPI 16.5
I have a VPI 16.5 and have been experimenting with different chemicals and brushes/pads. I am very cautious as there are many products out there that will damage vinyl. So the trick is to find a cleaner and brush that work in one or two operations and has no chance of damaging the vinyl records. I currently use MOFI Super Deep Clean and the MOFI cleaning brush/pad for the first pass, and then use distilled water for the second. I have had much better results dong this than any other chemicals/methods and brushes, with virtually no risk of damage to the LP. VPI fluid/brush are very good and safe, but, they don't seem to have the cleaning power of the MOFI Super Deep Clean and brush combo. VPI says you can add alcohol to boost cleaning, but, in my efforts I have found alcohol to be a strong cleaner that can leave permanent "fizz" on LP's.

Works like a charm
As a dry cleaning brush this rates a 5. A few passes around the record brought dirt and dust to the surface where it could be picked up with a carbon fiber brush. Works like a charm. As a wet cleaning brush it rates a 1 or lower. The adhesive pad stayed on the handle quite well, but the fiber material came off the adhesive pad. After four wet cleaning sessions the material disintegrated. leaving balls of fluff on the floor and several feet of fiber wrapped around the cleaning turntable.Either these pads are not produced by Mobile Fidelity, or Mobile Fidelity has a different definition of wet cleaning than I. Either way, the remaining pad will never see cleaning fluid and will most likely work as claimed as a dry cleaner.

Too bad it does not have a round instead of a ...
Does gather the dust from the surface of the record. I have only used it in dry mode so I cannot comment on the effectiveness when wet with a solution. Too bad it does not have a round instead of a flat bottom like the old discwashers.
