Mosh Potatoes: Recipes, Anecdotes, and Mayhem from the Heavyweights of Heavy Metal

This book is an absolute must for heavy metal lovers, even if they are not avid cooks. Most of the recipes sound great and the few that are left have amusing stories with them (even though they're for things like cheese toast). Almost every recipe has a blurb from the recipe provider and many of the recipes are written with quite a lot of personality to them. The mix of artists is fantastic too. There are only a few artist repeats (Anthrax I know provided at least two), so there is plenty of variety.With that being said, these recipes are NOT the height of cuisine. I knew that going into it, but some of the reviews suggest that others were expecting more. There are a few surprisingly sophisticated dishes, but almost everything is good, rib-sticking comfort food- the kind you would expect a heavy metal band to chow down on after a show. Get this book because you love the music. The quality of the book is just fine. The pictures are a bit low quality (black and white), but that's hardly a big deal.

In looking for a gift for our future son-in-law, his wife-to-be suggested that he loves hard rock and also loves to cook! Hubby scoured the cookbooks and came up with this! Sure to be a hit!!

Today I told my boss that I was running across the street to get something to eat at about 12:30. My boss said, "You couldn't possibly be hungry again-I've been watching you eat all day-All I had so far today was a bowl of cereal."It's a blessing and a curse. If I had a normal appetite I could freaking retire in a month! But I LOVE to eat. Not animals, I LOVE animals. I always found it funny when people told me they were angry with Michael Vick because they were "animal lovers". LIARS! They may love dogs and cats and cute bunnies...but they ate tortured pigs, cows and chickens every day.Well....my recipe has chicken stock in it. I only completely stopped eating meat 5 years ago.This book has meat, veggie and vegan recipes. In all honestly I wouldn't eat half the stuff in here BUT I read EVERY page because the book is FUN. REALLY fun.

This is a gift, but looking through the book found some really great recipes. I think I’m going to order one for myself.

Hmm...well...This is just a low quality paper grade, not much to it book HOWEVER....the recipes in it are AWESOME and mostly from WELL KNOWN metal artists unlike "Hellbent for Cooking"...the other metal cookbook which is all fancy, high quality with pictures but...content sucks! These recipes seriously DO ROCK! I've made a couple already, simple, easy to follow directions and all in all...GREAT cookbook!

Fantastic Cookbook! Ordered 5 of these as Xmas gifts including for 2 friends overseas. Quality & content were amazing. The stories were awesome and the recipes easy to follow.

Want to party like a rockstar? Start with a meal from this book. I made Lita Ford's black bean and corn salsa along with Satanic Burritos and was really happy with both of them. Very tasty and easy to make with items you can get at any local grocery store. The pics in the middle of the book are pretty cool too! For the price, you really get a lot of good recipes from a lot of different artists, granted a lot of them I hadn't heard of, but it also includes recipes from some bigger names. A great gift for your fave metal head or yourself. I'll be using this book a lot!

My boyfriend loves metal music and he does majority of the cooking in our relationship so this seemed like the perfect gift. We were not disappointed! This cook book has a lot of humor to it and each recipe is actually a favourite recipe of different metal band members. It also has a photo gallery section showing real pictures of metal bands making/eating the recipes. It has a good variety of simple and more complex recipes. Definitely recommend!

Bought as a Xmas present. Was very well received and the presentation and content of the book provides a compelling read. Love the recipes and facts and quotes etc which come with them from a large selection of artists.
