Yes, these LED's can be powered on with a 3 volt coin cell such as a CR2025 or CR2032. The silver coated wire is the negative connection and the gold coated wire is for the positive connection.

Q: Can this be powered by a 12v battery?

This is powered by 3V, but we have free resistors in the package, you can connect the resistor first, then you can connect the 12V battery.
