Was in the market to get a locking gas cap for 2009 kawasaki ninja 250r and it was a bit of a hard mission, I didn't want to pay the 200+ to get it from kawasaki, tried 2 separate times to get the right one from Amazon and they both were the wrong size, so I tried third time and it finally fit perfectly, love the new locking gas cap especially in this time of high gas cost and people stealing.

Great fit, smooth turning. The lock/open labels on the lock are backwards but at this price, I don’t care. Works great for a 2010 Ninja 250

So rewind two years ago when I purchased the bike it started to not want to unlock so I tried oils lubes taking the gas cap off an soaking it none of which ever lasted longer than a week before it was back acting up so finally after slightly bending a bike key I decided it wasn’t worth getting stranded so today I got this gas cap replacement fit my bike but I had to reuse my hex bolts because the ones supplied are silver not black an only 3 actually screw into the gas tank instead of the stock 6 an one security screw I also had to realign the actual gas cap because when fully closed it sat off center none the less it was worth what I paid an now I don’t have to worry about my gas cap sticking in the future I’ll probably stick with OEM replacement parts
