Hasegawa Beige Plastic Sushi and Makisu Rolling Mat 25.4 x 24.6 cm

Nicely made product. I haven’t tried the smaller size one yet but I like it so far. I’ve only made a few hundred rolls but it has held up and is easy to clean.

I had been using a wooden one, but I discovered this through the cutting board and decided to give it a try. It seems pretty good. As for durability, I guess I’ll have to use it longer to really know. It feels similar to a bamboo roller, but I like that it’s dishwasher safe. Amazon’s AI says it’s not dishwasher safe, but when you actually buy the product, it clearly says here that it is.

I am a sushi chef, so it made sense for me to buy a reusuable makisu instead of using bamboo everytime. It moves like a real makisu instead of the silicone ones that are one solid piece and are annoying to work with. While the price is a bit steep, if you are making sushi at home a lot or are a sushi chef, it is a worthy investment.

I'm a sushi chef, and this mat is of excellent quality. It's easy to clean, and I no longer need to use plastic wrap. However, it's very heavy and slippery on the cutting board, unlike a bamboo mat. Not as good as bamboo mat.

Habe diese Matte gekauft weil ich eine "Bambus - like" Handling wollte mit der guten Reinigbarkeit von Kunststoff. Beides ist erfüllt. Funktioniert wirklich gut. Preis... kommt mir etwas sehr... "premium" vor aber ist halt ein Japan->USA->Deutschland Import. Dafür hält sie (hoffentlich) ewig.
