Does this amiibo case carry Amiibo cards?

Yes, although flat cards like those would be better kept in the 3DS compartment between the 3DS itself and the bottom of the compartment (top of the case when closed) so as to not damage the cards by having them get jostled around between the figures or in the large open space if there are none.

Would this fit a 2ds xl with a grip?

It depends on the grip. But I have it inside a Ziploc, for when I put in console pocket, and it barely fits into the console pocket with it on (I usually have to take out the small stuff (2 carts, stylus...) in the zipped pocket, put in the xl in console pocket, and then put the small stuff back into the zipped pocket). It does fit 3 - 5 amiibos (depending on amiibo size), or a couple of amiibos, few amiibo cards, and charger in the amiibo section as well. Hope this helps

Unfortunately, it will not fit due to its inability to be closed like the other 3DS systems (the New 2DS XL will fit, however).

Perfect for travel

I have a case for my Switch and now I have a cool Amiibo case for my 2DS XL. Super cool. I love the mesh zipper to hold my games in. I only have one Amiibo but the bottom is perfect to put my 2DS XL grip. I love it so far. Thanks a million.

Não justifica o título de licenciado oficialmente

Esperava uma melhor organização dos amiibos. Só tem um espaço onde eles ficam amontoados e presos apenas por uma fina camada com feltro na ponta. Esperava mais de um produto licenciado para o transporte e um local para guardar com segurança os amiibos. Como ficam bem soltos, os amiibos mais frágeis correm o risco de sofrerem danos.
