What are the dimensions of the base of the mount? The panel that attaches to the wall.

The questions for the different Amazon wall mounts look to be merged, so there are varying answers. I just got the 16 in full motion mount for TVs 22-55 inches, and the base plate that attaches to the wall roughly measures 11.5 inches tall x 3 1/8 in wide. The screw holes are 9.25 inches apart vertically. Jan. 2023.

When fully retracted (pushed up against the wall) how much space is between the wall and the mounting bracket? How far off the wall will TV be?

maybe 0.75"-1" space, but beware that a heavy tv will force this bracket to lean forward. You will have a significant amount of forward tilt with a large tv. As an owner of this bracket, i do not recommend it

I bought this for my 42” tv and the brackets stick out on top. had i known this would happen i wouldn’t have ordered this. any solutions for this?

If you are even moderately handy, you can cut them to the correct length. Mark the correct length using masking tape. Remove the TV from the mount and remove the mount from the wall. Using a hacksaw or a rotary tool with a cut-off wheel, cut the mount as it is marked. Remount the TV to the wall following the original installation instructions.

If your mount only extends 16 inches maximum, how could my 70" Visio rotate 180 degrees?

My TV hits the wall and probably only rotates 90 degrees but the mount itself could go further.
