Great filter—clean tasting water, environmentally responsible
’ve been using the Epic replacement filter (models B01J2LHFMI) for a few weeks now in my Epic Pure pitcher, and overall I’m very pleased with the results. What I love: -Superior filtration & taste – The difference in taste is noticeable. Chlorine taste is gone, and the water feels smoother and more refreshing—my family and guests have commented on it too. -Broad contaminant removal – It’s certified to remove up to 99.99% of lead, chlorine, fluoride, PFAS/“forever chemicals,” heavy metals, microplastics, and more. -Eco‑friendly & cost‑effective – Filters up to 150 gallons before needing replacement, which cuts back on bottled water usage. Plus, Epic offers a 100% recyclable filter-return program. -Reliable certifications – It exceeds NSF/ANSI standards (42, 53, 401 & P473), so I feel confident about the water quality. A couple of small downsides: -Slower flow – It’s not as fast as a Brita filter, but honestly, that’s just the tradeoff for better filtration. I don’t mind the extra wait for purer water . -Plastic pitcher concern – The pitcher itself is plastic, which made me wonder about potential leaching—but my tests so far haven’t shown any issues, and the clean taste makes it easy to overlook. Bottom line: If you're looking for a filter that genuinely improves taste, removes a wide range of contaminants, and aligns with eco-conscious values, this is a strong option. It's a bit pricier than standard replacements, but the improved performance and sustainability perks are worth it for me.

Quality Product - Removes PFAS
Love these filters! We are in Florida and in a rental, so the water is garbage. I personally double filter (fridge filtered water into this pitcher) to extend the life, but it does a fine job with straight tap water as well. I get about 4 months of life with pre-filtered, 2 months without. Again, the water is garbage - very hard, you can smell chlorine when it's running from the faucet. The result from this filter is great. It does filter slower than a Brita, but it's removing a lot more from the water. As the filter is nearing need for replacement it will slow even more substantially (~15 minutes for a fill) - just something to be aware of. Due to cost and frequency of replacement I get these on Subscribe and Save. I looked into other similar products, and my preference was this due to the ability to get filter replacements through Amazon and rest results for removal of PFAS.

nice
These make it so easy with the pitcher on the sink board! Easy to refill with my tap and the water tastes so much better. I have to change out filters every three months though. But its easier than going to the store buying bottled water.

Pricey but worth it!
My favorite water filter. Expensive as heck but the water tastes clean and the independently reviewed test results add peace of mind.

Faulty product. Expensive. Bizarre customer support.
This is my 2nd filter from Epic Water. The first worked just fine, and provided plenty of water for myself and my partner over it's recommended 3 months of usage. When it came time to replace it, I found that the company was having supply issues and I would need to wait a month for a new filter. The first filter continued to perform during this time. The new filter was very slow from day one. As I write this, it is down to supplying no more than one pint of water per 24 hour period - after barely 1 month of use. Once it reached a state of near uselessness, I contacted customer support. I figured they would readily send a replacement to keep a potentially regular customer happy, but no - the person I spoke to insisted that the problem was with my water, not the filter. They said their filters just wouldn't perform well with certain waters. I incredulously informed them that I was already on my 2nd filter, and that the first one had handled my water just fine. Nope: they insisted there was no way I was sent a faulty product. I was offered some mind boggling resolutions: 1.) I could try one of their other filters, like their camping/well water filter meant for filtering biological contaminates (I'm on city water). 2.) I could buy a Britta filter (!?) and try filtering my water through that first, then filter the results through the Epic Water filter. 3.) I could try soaking my EW filter overnight (I tried this and it didn't work - also, isn't the filter always soaking when in use??). 4.) I could have a refund, which the rep actually encouraged me to use on a different brand of filter that worked better with my water. I went with the refund. I almost gave the review another star for the eventual refund, but in the end I held it back as I spent $70 on the pitcher and first filter, which I won't get back. I would not have invested that much money into this system if I knew the company would have serious supply chain issues, send out faulty products, and then tell me to shop elsewhere for filters because theirs don't work with my water. In all, this is a company that appears to have lost the plot. By the way, Britta and generic brand filters have never had any issues filtering the water in my house.

Best over the counter filter
Best over the counter filter. Filters in a timely manner while ensuring the water is safe to drink. The water taste better than any thing bottled or served. It is a game changer. Never experienced leaks and this is my 4th time purchasing.

Does What It Says and Recommended by EWG
The Epic Water system was recommended for my particular municipal water supply by the EWG (Environmental Working Group) website’s Tap Water Database. You can look up your water supplier via zip code and see their most current water analysis reports (EWG.org) EWG will then recommend which water filters are best for what’s in your actual tap water. The Epic Water filter system was the top recommendation for my water supply. Our water, once filtered, tastes excellent. I can’t say the same for the water coming out of my faucets. So to me the Epic water filter pitcher gets the job done. We use the filtered water for drinking and cooking. The filter only lasts 60 days for us rather than the 90 days listed as possible. Perhaps it’s a question of all the things it has to take out of our tap water, I can’t say. Hence the 4 stars. The filter isn’t inexpensive (currently $54) so for us using the Epic Water pitcher system costs us about $27 per month for the water filter replacements. To my mind it’s still worth it to have clean, contaminant free, good tasting water.

Best filter ever
Great product and customer service is exemplary! Bought a pitcher for every college kid, everyone has filter subscriptions. Made in the USA too. Expensive? No, you get what u pay for or rather, you aren't getting what you pay for. No fluoride, no benzene, no poisons. Just water as nature intended.
