Mr. Christmas Wireless Lights and Sounds of Christmas

I have an older wired version of this, and love it. I am a little disappointed that the outlets are not 3 prong. My older version only has Christmas, not Halloween music. So, I am really looking forward to using this for both holidays. I've tested it and each of the four outlets work within the same room. I will not get a chance to really put it to the test until October.

I purchased one of these from Kmart about 4 years ago when they were clearing out all there leftover christmas items. Like most people that review this item I experienced the item would work for awhile then only part of lights (and sometimes none)would work. I read all instructions again and made adjustments to the spacing of the music system to the receivers and each year I kept getting the same problem. So I purchased another system from Amazon thinking I had a bad music system and/or recievers. The problem was the Item I got from Amazon worked for about 30 min. then shut off and would not comeback on. I had absolutely no problem returning the item to Amazon and I got my full refund in 2 days and they paid for the return shipping. This though did not solve my problem with my other unit. Then one day my brother-in-law (he is an electrician) was over and we went through my system and hooked it up this year. After hooking up all the lights to the system we turned it on and again the system worked correctly for about 45 min. then it started messing up again. So my brother-in-law read all the instructions to the system and he determined I was hooking up too many lights to the remote receivers and once we corrected this the item worked flawlessly the entire christmas season (4 weeks for me).You must insure you do not overload the system receivers with too many lights and you follow the correct spacing of the receivers to the music system. There is no set number of strings of lights you can hook to each receiver but, there is a wattage you must not exceed. Follow this and your system will work as you expect it to.The other reason I purchased anothe system was I wanted to add more receivers and you can but, the same numbered receivers (they are marked 1-4) will work together so you can add more lights not work seperately to add different effect.

A few things here....I did receive my Mr. Christmas in a timely manner; however, it was not loud enough to be heard at street distance AND it only worked for two days before the sound went out comepletely! I had to file for a warranty replacement and send it back to the company at MY expense! They sent me out another one within a week but again it is not loud enough to be heard from the street. If I knew then what I know now, I would have saved my money and put it towards a Light-O-Rama.

I bought one of these last year, and was really impressed by the wireless connectivity. I wanted to expand my coverage without running a bunch of extension cords, so I bought a second one. You can find additional controllers, but four of them cost them same as buying the whole kit, so now I have a spare main controller in case the first one dies.While only four channels, having eight of the remotes really allowed us to get creative this year. And I have a box of unused cords, which is a real plus.

This is the BEST. So sad Mr. Christmas does not make it anymore. I ordered 2 extra. I have had my original for over 10 years and never had an issue with it

Set it up, Each receiver held a great deal of lights and blowmolds, but did not over load it and it has been working ever since. Yes buy one and you will enjoy your Christmas light show.

I hooked everything up and on the first night it worked great. then over night it rained. The next night one of the remote sequencers would not work. It was my under standing they were to be used outside not true quess thats what i get for assuming.
