Impressed
Got to say I’m impressed with this camera. It seems well built. I used the license plate bracket and it made for a solid install. It was a bit difficult to get those tiny screws into the back of the camera but worth it. The tailgate of my F150 clears it by a few inches. I have an extended cab short bed truck and had several feet of wire left. Don’t think you would have enough wire if you drive a crew cab with a long bed. I have an Android head unit which made the install easy. The picture quality is vey good in daylight. Haven’t used it yet after dark so can’t comment on that aspect. We will see how it holds up over time, especially with Midwest winter coming. I think it’s priced right for what you get. Hope this helps

Great backup camera!
Camera and bracket are made of sturdy metal. Great video quality. Cabling was easy to route and plenty long enough for my crew cab long bed Ram 3500. Great buy!

Compact, quality hardware with great image quality
I installed this in an extended length van as a rear view camera and mounted it above the rear doors angled downward. It has a nice, wide field of view perfect for my needs. The camera was easy to install, and has a clear image, and includes quality mounting hardware. They include a long RCA cable which was perfect considering the length of my van. So far, there have been no issues with the camera being completely exposed to direct sun and rain. I've wired the camera so it's always on when the ignition is on so that I can view the rear camera at any time on my dash, and I wired the rear view signal wire into the reverse lights so the stereo displays the camera feed automatically when in reverse.

PixelMan Backup Camera,AHD 1080P
I purchased this backup camera to install on my 2002 BMW 330ci cabrio (E46), to pair with a Dynavin 9 head unit. The E46 has a removable plastic "eyebrow" trim piece over the license plate, housing the license plate lights and electric trunk release. After removing the trim piece, I was able to drill a strategic angled hole in the underside of the trim, in the small "valley" that one of the four torx mounting screws runs through - this allowed me to route the 4 pin wire "lead" on the camera in to the underside of the trunk lid, alongside the existing routing hole for the factory harness carrying the trunk lid release and license plate light wiring. The BMW has a flexible rubber "snorkel" grommet that carries the trunk lid wiring in to the trunk - the 4 pin connector cable from the camera was not long enough to span the underside of the trunk lid as well as make its way through the entirety of the snorkel - I purchased a 5 foot 4 pin extension cable and used that to push through the snorkel, along with an 18GA red "primary wire" soldered on to the positive wire of the right side reverse light (pro tip the pos and neg factory wires for the reverse light can be "depinned" from the factory connector, giving you easier access to strip a section of the factory positive wire's insulation and do a "military splice" using your 18GA red "primary wire", including shrink tubing the solder joint). Routing the 4 pin extension cable and red primary "reverse trigger" wire through the snorkel was accomplished by purchasing an extra long zip tie, and carefully pushing the flat tapered end of the zip tie through the top of the snorkel first, and carefully pushing/coaxing/massaging it through the length of the snorkel into the trunk, making sure to pull several inches in to the trunk to give you something to pull from for the next steps. I then snipped the locking head off the back end of the zip tie, and used high quality electrical tape to lash the 4 pin camera cable and red reverse trigger wire alongside six inches of the zip tie, added some electrical "pull" wire lubricant to the taped up section of the zip tie containing the wires, and then carefully pulled the remainder of the zip tie with the wiring piggybacked to it through the snorkel. With the trigger wire and the 4 pin extension cable pulled, the remainder of the wiring was straightforward with the wires being pulled to where they needed to be. The camera mounted nicely to the underside of the "eyebrow" trim using two self tapping screws included (drill yourself tiny pilot holes after marking the screw locations with a sharpie). The mounting bracket for the camera has elongated screw holes, which give you adjustability of the mounting base horizontally fore and aft as needed. The U shaped bracket contains the camera itself, and vertical screws on either side of the camera give you up/down pivoting adjustability. Complaints are few - the RCA connectors are very low friction, meaning they can be pretty easily pulled apart - I did a short wrap of high quality electrical tape around the male/female RCA connections, putting a little tension on the tape to prevent the connections working loose over time. Also, the red "convenience wire" leads at each end of the cable running from the back to the front of the car are very short and very thin - they were workable "enough" but don't leave a lot of room for error or rewiring if needed. Also, I had originally hooked up the included ground wire lug to the negative ground point on the car, but found that it introduced a lot of flicker/lines to the picture - turns out the negative connection is not needed, as the RCA cable from the front to the back of the car carry a negative ground back to the camera wiring from the chassis of the head unit. This bracketed camera style worked well for my application since I had little room to work with; the added flexibility of being able to adjust the camera once mounted was key. I find this camera style superior to the "threaded post" style cameras, as that style requires room above the camera and inside the trunk to thread on the attaching nut - I did not have that kind of room available in my application. My camera is mounted slightly off the centerline of the license plate, but given that the camera is a wide angle 170 degrees, it is not an issue. I have my camera adjusted so that I can see the trailing edge of the bumper, which gives me a good point of reference. This was a bit of a project, but turned out great - having a backup camera on a 23 year old car makes it feel contemporary - the car came from the factory with PDC (park distance control, aka backup sensors), and the head unit overlays a graphic of a car on the backup screen, with active green/yellow/red indicators triggered by the PDC indicators to show where close proximity is detected - pretty mind blowing. The picture quality at night is outstanding - the two license plate lights and backup lights are more than adequate to illuminate the picture. Snipping the orange wire to enable an HDR camera signal to my head unit provided a noticeable improvement to picture quality. My head unit supports HDR, so I snipped and taped the orange wire in the camera wiring harness to enable the HDR resolution. I am using the "guide lines" provided by the camera, as they are marginally better than the "guide lines" that I can switch on/off on the head unit itself - note that the guide lines are not "active", so they don't rotate as you turn your wheel, not a deal breaker for me and honestly I find them kind of gimmicky on our other cars that have them. Launching my car from 2002 into 2025 in terms of safety tech outweighs the lack of active guide lines. There is a bit of latency with the camera image popping up on the head unit (2 seconds maybe), which I attribute to the signal having to come from the reverse lights, but again far outweighed by having a backup camera in a 23 year old car. I believe there are ways to have the camera powered all the time, but I don't know if that's available on my car, and I've seen some complaints of "always on" cameras overheating. Quite happy with my purchase.

Very good camera
This is a pretty nice camera with a clear picture. Seller was awesome too. Installation was pretty simple due to the documentation the seller provided. And the camera seems really well built. It should last the life of the car.

Great camera
Easy install. I have an aftermarket Sony radio. This backup camera plugged right in. The install is straightforward and I had about 18 inches extra wire which was okay cuz I just bundled it up behind the rear blinker assembly. Picture quality is great and has a very wide angle lens which I was very happy with. Highly recommend.

Very hard to attach camera to license plate bracket
This is the 4th backup camera I've installed on my vehicles. The PixelMan is a very nice, high quality camera and I would give it 5 stars in every aspect except one. The camera comes mounted to a small bracket to be used to screw onto the back of your vehicle. To use the license plate bracket you need to mount the camera with two exceptionally small screws. The screws being stainless steel cannot be held with a magnetic screwdriver. If you drop one of these screws you will probably never find it (they supply 3 so you can afford to lose 1). I have a slight hand tremor and large fingers, so the simple task of putting in 2 screws was grueling. I stuck with it only because I didn't want the hassle of returning the product and waiting for a different brand to arrive. The camera is now installed and works perfectly with my new double DIN head unit and has good brightness and nice backup lines. The red power wiring the camera cable is heavier gauge than the other backup cameras I've installed which makes it easier to join wires. I wish the product was sold with the camera installed on the license plate holder. Switching the camera to the small bracket would be done with much larger, easy to handle screws.

Excellent product
This camera is absolutely amazing, sharp and clear image. Worked on the mirror screen. Used on Grand Caravan but still 6ft. cable left to cut. Bought almost a year ago but installed recently. When I found the offer of the free car-charger in the box I contacted the seller if the offer is still standing and it was shipped the same day. Awesome service and awesome product. Highly recommended!

Not 1080P
The listing says this camera is 1080P, but it's actually 720P. Picture quality still looks great, but the listing is misleading.
