I am using the AKK KC04 camera and 5.8GHz 600mW VTX combination as the FPV system on an F450-class DIY drone. So far, it has worked very well for that purpose. The 700TVL camera provides perfectly adequate image quality for flying FPV. I would not consider this a camera for capturing high-quality photographs or video, but that isn't really what it is designed for. As a live flight camera, the picture quality is good and I have had good results using it outdoors. One thing to be aware of is that the 600mW VTX gets quite hot during operation. I would definitely recommend mounting it where it has adequate airflow rather than enclosing it tightly inside the aircraft. Based on how warm mine gets, I also think adding a small heatsink to the VTX may be worthwhile, particularly if your installation doesn't provide a lot of airflow. I particularly like the cabling included with the system. The connections are modular between the camera and VTX and again between the VTX and power source. That makes it much easier to route and organize the wiring inside a custom drone build instead of having everything permanently attached together. The camera uses a simple pivot-style mount, but it is sturdy for its size and has held up well. I am currently powering the system from a 3S battery through the drone's power distribution board, and it has performed reliably. I have not yet connected flight telemetry/OSD information into the video system, although that is something I plan to add to the aircraft later. Overall, this is a nice little FPV camera and transmitter combination for a DIY drone. It provides a good flight image, transmits well outdoors, has convenient modular wiring, and is reasonably easy to integrate into a custom build. My primary caution is heat management—give the VTX plenty of airflow and consider a small heatsink depending on how and where you mount it.

Excellent video quality. Like others, I've discovered the running voltage is not 5v. If you try to run on a 5v source (like 4 AA's) you'll need fresh batteries that output 6v. Under 5.2 volts the camera will not power up.

This thing works fine, but there are other cameras that are one piece, contained in a box, with heat transfer fins for only a little bit more. This thing, with its transmitter, camera, and leg for battery is harder to mount and protect from the elements. So far, great range, super clear image, not the widest angle, but very little fish eye distortion, great for fpv. Soldered it to my power distribution board and have it running off of my quads battery. Will update of anything changes.

This camera is not good, when connected and start flying, the picture from camera gets all distorted and wavy. All the reviews I read said it was great , maybe I just got a bad one but with that being said I would not purchase

This is a very robust FPV camera for my drone but the exposed PCB is a bit of a concern. The transmitter heats up during use so airflow is necessary. Attaching a heat sink might be worthwhile.

VTX seems to work and connects to monitor but shows black screen. Assumedly because camera not working on arrival.
