So how do you get the sand to fall slow??

1. Make all the sand to the bottom before use , 2. Then shake the moving sand art picture up and down, left and right a few times with your hands(shaking up and down, the bubbles become small; shaking left and right, the bubbles become big)； 3.After shaking, wait for about 10 seconds to let the sand sink to the bottom； 4.Then invert the sand painting horizontally to put on the Stand (When it is turned upside down, let the air bubbles block the sand, and let the sand slowly flow down from the bubble gap). Here are 3 Tips: a. The slower the flow rate of sand, the more prominent the effect; b. If the sand flow is too fast, it is because the bubbles are too big. At this time, it should be shaken up and down for a few minutes to make the bubbles smaller; c. If the sand cannot flow down, it means that the bubbles are too small. At this time, slide slowly left and right for a few minutes to let the bubbles coalesce.

My husband received this as a gift but there is no paperwork with the product. There is a disposable syringe in the box. What is this for?

The syringe is used to adjust the bubbles in the sand painting. There are small holes in the outer ring of the sand painting. You can insert a syringe to inject or extract the bubbles, so that it can better flow out of the pattern. Under normal circumstances, our product does not come with a syringe, and the buyer needs to buy it by himself.You are lucky, maybe the staff accidentally put it in.

There appears to be different shades of sand in these that provide the interesting perception of depth. Over time, do they all mix together?

They don't mix. The specific gravity of the sand in the sand painting and the buoyancy of the air bubbles make the sand sink to the bottom at different speeds.

Superb

Absolutely obsessed with this thing. We have turned it at least 3 times a day and I was a bit worried the sand would mix and all become the same colour but it seems the different colours have different weights so they tend to stay together. It’s so relaxing to watch and there have been some fascinating landscapes which are just beautiful. Nice big size and functions perfectly every time. Great piece.

Awful

It's not the most expensive item in the world but at £23.99 it's extremely bad value. It's made of the cheapest possible materials (I would estimate no more than £3-4 worth) and most importantly all the sand falls to the bottom far too quickly. I haven't timed it but probably less than a minute. It looks sad and pathetic while it does so - not least because the sand tends to fall in clumps. I was going it to my nephew as one of his Christmas presents but I'm not now because it's so disappointing. AVOID.
