Hydrating Core Lip Shine with Shea Butter & Vitamin E, Tinted Lip Balm for A Smooth, Glossy Finish & Long-Lasting Moisture, Delightful Mauve

I was looking for a duplicate of Pink Honey Almost Lipstick. I liked the color, but was really unhappy with the product. I found it to be drying, and not long lasting. Someone on Reddit recommended Elf lip balm in Joyful. It is a great color, just a little bit of enhancement. It has a very buttery feel, is moisturizing, and is not sticky. It doesn’t last very long, but at the price, who cares if you have to reapply it? I liked it so much I bought another shade, (Happy) which is slightly darker. The only thing I don’t like is that it has a slightly weird odor-I’d almost compare it to canteloupe or melon- but it’s not bad enough to take off a star.

I love this lip shine ! It will be my go-to from now on. The texture is smooth but not sticky at all, which is exactly what I'm looking for. And the color is just like a lipstick, but I feel like I'm using something cosmetic but at the same time healthy for my lips ! and the price is super affordable . I got the Lovely color, its super pretty!! I actually think I will not even buy lipstick but will only use this. Ever since Nivea discontinued their lip shine, I thought I would not be able to find something better, but I finally found an even better replacement . I love this !!!

Love the color! Very moisturizing and does not leave a heavy feeling on your lips. The problem I had was it smells like old nsry motor oil. Did not receive my first order so Amazon sent me another, then a week later the original order was left in my mailbox with an apology note from one of the neighbors. Opened that one up and it also smelled like motor oil and the taste on your lips is awful. I’m going to buy one from a retailer like Target or Walmart and hopefully they won’t have the awful smell and taste.

Was looking for a Black Honey dupe and this is close. It’s not the exact same color, this one leans a little more berry forward. The formula is a bit thicker than Black Honey, not sticky, and lasts a while without having to reapply. It does have a darker core at the center that will deposit more color on any dry or flaky parts of your lips, so moisturize before you put it on. It does seem to have some moisture to it as well, though. I didn’t really notice much a fragrance to speak of. It’s a great color for when you want something darker than your natural lip color but don’t want to wear a full on lipstick. It’s great for the minimal makeup look if you like a bolder lip when going easy everywhere else. I carry this with me in my purse at all times. Great value for the money. Highly recommend.

I knew it was risky to order this in summer and yes, it was slightly melted at the tip by the time it was delivered. But 10 minutes in the fridge and it's not gooey anymore. Looks nice. I need a little color for my daughter's wedding and I'm older. I never wear make-up to I'm experimenting with tinted moisturizers and this is the first tinted lip balm I've tried and I like it very much. I bought the "Lovely" color.

I am usually a huge fan of e.l.f. products—they are my go-to for affordable, nice-quality makeup. However, this Hydrating Core Lip Shine in "Ecstatic" really missed the mark for me. While the color is beautiful and the initial application feels great, the actual performance just isn't there. I stopped buying it after the third stick. The Application & Color: • The Tint: The "Ecstatic" shade is a lovely, sheer berry-plum that gives a perfect "your lips but better" glow. • The Texture: It goes on very smooth and buttery. The little heart-shaped core is cute and initially feels like it’s going to be very moisturizing. Why It’s Only 3 Stars: • Short Duration: This has zero staying power. I found that I had to apply it constantly throughout the day. If I took a sip of water or even just talked for a bit, the product was gone. It was gone quickly even without drinking water. • Small Amount of Product: Because you have to reapply it so often, you burn through the stick incredibly fast. There isn't much product in the tube itself, and at the rate I had to use it, the stick was half-gone in less than a week. • The "Rebound" Chap: This was the biggest dealbreaker. Once the balm wears off (which happens quickly), my lips actually feel more chapped than they did before I put it on. Instead of soaking in and hydrating, it feels like it just sits on top and then leaves my lips feeling stripped when it's gone. Pros: • Beautiful, sheer color payoff. • Vegan and cruelty-free (always a plus with e.l.f.). • Inexpensive (though not a great value if you have to replace it every one-two weeks). Cons: • Requires constant reapplication. • Very little product in the actual tube. • Leaves lips feeling dry/chapped after it wears off.

I really like this lip shine. Hydrates and gives subtle color. Have several tubes. Very good for summer wear.

I I can't in good conscience, give this product, (I can't call it, what it's proporting to represent.) not even a single star. I couldn't believe it. It didn't last on my lips, 2 minutes. I drove from one light to the next, and it was gone! I came up on a changing light. I hurriedly, put it on. Drove to the next light, a regular city block, looked up, while at that light, at the visor mirror, there was a faint trace of color left. I reapplied it, drove up the lane, to stopped traffic, glanced up, it was gone again. Granted, I probably licked my lips, but I didn't slurp them or rub them together. Come on!!! For as many times as that happened, there was not a trace left, several times. I had a lip gloss in my purse, at my destination, I put it on, to have nice looking lips, for my grandson's high school graduation. (Pete Knight High, PalmdaleCa.)I put that on a hundred times before I just quit. Highlight, I had bought because I liked the colors. I bought them, at the same time, recently from one of my favorite, convenient shoping sites. Amazon.com. I hate returning things. I'm unable to be very ambulatory, so I have to count the cost, before I go out. So I hope this is helpful. I don't know if Amazon, or the two companies or one, I'll mark the lip gloss, when I finish writing this, will pay any attention to this, but I hope potential purchasers will. Love amazon.com, for their availability. Especially for people like me. I don't go out much, it's can be a hassle. Yesterday, was more than worth it.
