Absolutely love this book which enabled me to start the conversation around skin colour with my 4 year old daughter. Well written and with beautiful illustrations. We, as a family, absolutely love it, it opens the path for children to understand they can anything

I ordered this to read to the girls in my children's home. Hoped it would be good. It is! Very good! Hope the lessons in this book stick with my girls and they always remember their worth has nothing to do with their skin color! Recommend to read toevery little girl!

Absolutely loved the book..puts across a very important message in a very simple poetic manner. .beautifully written

Now, i would like to mention that my kid already has been raised with enough understanding that skin colors do not matter, and also that people have different colors, and also that after growing up, while growing up there will be numerous times when they will face this situation where they will be told something because of their skin color.So, with that knowledge i really did think I could add up to it a bit with this book.But it was just kids of different colors and saying what they wish to become.Which, no doubt is a good way to introduce a major subject and help increase their own self acceptance and body acceptance from a young age.But this book specifically only talks about what the kids want to be, and sometimes at some places the lines just so not make sense.I just had different expectations from the book but unfortunately this was not it.The ideas of people being more than their skin color could have been expanded on and expressed with much different and better information than just what a child wants to be when they grow up.The illustrations are definitely pretty though.
