No more wet arms! Sturdy, but lightweight . 22mm EVA material good for repeated wears. Includes two plastic snaps on each side. Generous 59 inch x 97 inch dimensions (standard ponchos are 50 inch x 80") with larger head opening than standard Poncho. For people over 5’10" or those who wear Men's sizes 2XL or larger. If too long, can be easily trimmed with scissors and the Poncho won't fray. Review: Economical Choice - Great economical choice for a large person. The quality was good for the price. Thethick was of the material is just right. It was not to heavy. Kept the rain off. Review: Our Disney World Downpour Savior - If you're familiar with Florida, you know that its weather can be as unpredictable as a toddler on a sugar rush. One moment, you're soaking up the sun; the next, you're avoiding downpours that seem straight out of Noah's Ark. That's why I grabbed a couple of "Galeton Repel Raincoats" for our adventures there, and they proved their worth on our very first outing after arrival! There we were, about to leave the treat shop with our delicious Mickey-shaped treats, when suddenly, the heavens opened, pouring down rain like a scene from the Bible on Main Street USA. In just a moment, we donned our raincoats and stepped into the chaos as everyone else rushed for cover. Thanks to our reliable raincoats, we became the envy of every drenched tourist around. The material is robust and sturdy, ensuring we stayed completely dry even as the rain fell in torrents. The hoods are adjustable, and the snap closures are solid, so we had no concerns about any unexpected wardrobe issues. I am the first to agree that these raincoats aren't the pinnacle of fashion. However, when you're sidestepping giant puddles and shielding your Mickey ears from the rain, functionality trumps style every time! They're so well-made that we expect to get at least a dozen uses before we will need to think about any replacements - again making these so affordable, especially in comparison to so many others we have tried in the past. Only time will tell! Overall, I'm delighted because these raincoats have been dependable, economical, and reusable.

Big & Tall with Room to Spare!
This is a great poncho for those who are Big & Tall. It is HUGE! Great to wear over a backpack for hikes, and folds up nice and compact. Drawstring around hood to cinch it down. Haven't worn it in the rain yet, but considering what it's made of, I'm sure it will keep me nice n' dry! This thing is amazingly big. If you have your doubts, get it, it'll definitely fit!

Fabulous!
We installed a brand new above ground pool this spring and as soon as we did, we had some pretty crazy rainfall and storms. Not having much experience with pools, we found ourselves having to go out and waste out water from a near overflowing pool right in the middle of an unexpected downpour more than once. That's when I found these and bought one for my hubby and one for me, should we need to go out together. Had to use it right away for that very reason! The pancho fit over my head easily, was roomy and long enough to cover everything and keep me dry, and gave me the ability to use my hands with no problems. The material isn't flimsy like the throwaway ponchos, so it should last with care, and but most important, I was able to take care of business and stay dry even though the rain was falling steady. The price is definitely right. I'm really impressed

Bigger than most ponchos I've seen for sure.
Man this thing is big. I stand at 6'4 225 and it swallows me up. I must say though I think it is more designed for a fat person than a tall person. It comes down right below my knee maybe three inches below. Was hoping for a much longer poncho, maybe almost down to the ankles would be great but it's better than I've had in the past. For someone tall this would be great for like a football game because if you are sitting down it would have no problem covering all of your body parts. But I swear you could fit three people inside this thing width wise. Overall a good buy. Oh and it also has a couple snaps on the side which would come in handy for those windier days.

Size is large enough to cover your whole body

Seems well made
Recently went on a hog hunt. We were caught in a torrential downpour, thunder and lightning everywhere, a bit scary to be honest. . The trail/road leading to the stand disappeared and became a fast flowing small shallow creek. A flash flood!!!That day I used a small, cheap Walmart poncho I always carry in my backpack. It kept me dry for the most part. At least my top half. I decided then I would never be caught again in this situation without a large, decent poncho. This poncho reminds me of a shower curtain, maybe a bit softer and pliable. I have no doubt it will keep me and my gear dry. I am 6’2”, 250 pounds and it covers pretty much my entire body. I inspected it and could not see any quality assurance issues. The hood feels comfortable over my rather large head, LOL. Has two buttons on each side but I would be careful pulling on the plastic to undo the buttons. I guess the best thing to do is to pull as close to the buttons as you can to make sure it doesn’t tear up. It is on the heavier side of things you want to put in your backpack but since I don’t walk really long distances when we hunt, I’ll be OK. I vacuum packed it and put it in my backpack. Hopefully will never have to use it.

Repel Rainwear by Galeton. .22 mm EVA Ultra Lightweight XL / Tall RAIN PONCHO. Color: Black. Style: #12714. Fifty Nine inches times Ninety Seven inches, 59 x97 inches. (NOT "59 x 57" as wrongly detailed in the upper part of amazon's listing). Of course, the taller or wider you are, the shorter the hanging coverage. The shorter or thinner you are, the longer the hanging coverage. I'm Six foot one inch / 6'1". I'm well over twenty stone / 280 lbs+. This poncho reaches well below my knees. It reaches the tops of my ankles. But I still wish the length, front and back each, was a foot / twelve inches longer, to better cover the ankles. (Using rain-proof ankle gaiters with this poncho should keep me well covered.) (Remember: Wearing thick soled army boots or hiking boots, you are at least an inch taller!) The arm/width is wide. With my arms hanging, the upper half of my forearms are covered by the billowing side portions. But the lower half of my forearms are still exposed. It could do with being 24" / twenty four inches wider (at least flared out at the top end / shoulders to arms) to provide 12" / twelve inches more arm coverage, to fully cover my hanging forearms. Light weight, despite its massive size. This poncho is huge, and it would still be big and roomy even if I were twice the size & weight that I am. But it is still surprisingly light, and yet it seems very tough and durable. You'll barely notice its weight in your backpack. (My backpack is mainly to carry my rain gear for unexpected downpours, as it's too windy here for umbrellas). The neck hole is very big. (I disagree with the reviewer who called the neck hole "tiny".) At six-foot-one, with a build like a roadie or a doorman, I'm big headed and thick necked. The poncho's neck hole is wide enough to leave a full two inches clearance for my chin. The hood is attached, and has a pull string to tighten the hood around the face (I don't use that, though). While there is no 'brim' on the hood (as often seen on other, smaller ponchos with their smaller tighter hoods), this hood is so big and roomy, it hangs well forward of your face offering more rain protection than if you did have a cap-like 'brim' in front of the hood. There is also plenty of room for whatever other head-gear you want to wear under the hood. Non conductive side snaps (two snaps on either side of the body/arms) keep the front and back sections from flapping in the wind. The snaps are plastic not metal, so no danger of conducting electricity, and no worry about them rusting from rain & air moisture. My arms go through the top 'holes' (made by the snaps) no problem. Or, it's easy to bring your arms inside the roomy poncho to keep one or both arms completely dry. (One reviewer said that the side snaps "buttons pop off a bit too easily" but maybe they meant to say "popping open". Either way, I've not noticed the side snaps popping open.) As with all rain ponchos, avoid losing any side snaps by well avoiding gates, fences, branches, trees, bushes, animals, people and equipment while wearing a poncho. It can take some practise, but keeping everything out of your personal space will ensure your poncho is not damaged and that your poncho will 'be there for you' intact when the rain comes down. The EVA material has a sort of 'rubbery' feel, but its micro-canvas texture gives it a kind of satin-like sheen (rather than glossy). It seems to be very 'strong' and durable. The black is a true black, not as shiny as an umbrella skin, but still black and not at all grey. There is very little smell, if any. EVA material is non toxic. In daytime July, the poncho will be warm enough over just a t-shirt, no jacket, when you are walking in the rain. Yes, this poncho can be worn over a jacket. It can be worn over three layers, or six layers of jackets and coats. Three sheepskin coats. Three feather downey winter coats. An inflatable sumo-suit. I am NOT joking. If you wrapped your duvet around your shoulders, this rain poncho would still fit over you! This poncho is easy to fold. Just follow the existing folds. Fold it in half by length, then half again so it's quarter length. Then fold the width from right to left, stacking each 'square' section. When folded, it is eleven inches by twelve and a half inches.11" x 12.5". Almost a square. Thus folded, it sits unencumbered at about one and one half inches thick, but with any weight on it at all it flattens down to only half an inch thick. You can also fold it over yet again, in half. This poncho does NOT come with a 'stuff sack'. Instead, store the folded poncho back into the plastic wrapper it arrived in, or else source a stuff sack from elsewhere. (I keep my poncho 'folded' by keeping it in my rain-proof rucksack/backpack cover, storing both inside my backpack. In a sudden rainstorm the poncho comes out of the backpack and out of the rucksack cover. The poncho goes on me, while the rucksack cover goes over my backpack. This poncho is plenty big enough to cover you while you are wearing a backpack, but I prefer to have maximum poncho length and wear my backpack over the poncho, covering my backpack with a waterproof rucksack cover.) After two years of searching, shopping and investigating videos, this is the best rain poncho I can find in 2025. Overall: sturdy, light weight, good quality, well made, durable, larger than other ponchos, large neck hole, large hood. But it could be a foot longer / 12 inches longer on both front and back lengths to fully cover ankles. And it could be 12 inches / a foot wider on each shoulder/arm, to keep your forearms dry. This poncho on its own, as it is, you WILL have wet forearms, and wet ankles. (I recommend getting waterproof rain-gaiters for your ankles).

Me encantó el color, la resistencia y la manera de poderme cubrir de la lluvia completamente. Es un poco estorboso, pero definitivamente es 1000 funcional ya que tienes la lluvia en cima! Altamente recomendable!
