Knipex makes great tools, including this one!
Automatically strips wires by cutting into and tearing off insulation without nicking the metal underneath. You can set the length of strip between 6 and 18 mm. This works in tight spaces where you can get pliers-type strippers in. Will strip wires from 24 to 10 ga. Doesn't work so well on teflon insulated wire.It seems to be made of some sturdy plastic and the handles are very comfortable to hold and operate the tool.

Husband likes this the way the cat likes catnip.
My husband got the biggest smile when he got this. He had always used cheapos and knockoffs...they broke, rusted or worked so poorly they were left in the toolbox in favor of a pocket knife. Now, I think he looks for wires to strip and fix just because the tool is so well made and works so well.

Great set of strippers.
I recently worked on a hotel project. These strippers made all the difference! Easily stripped 12ga wire and allowed me to work in tight spaces that any other wire stripper would not allow me to do.

This is the tool for strippers
Want to make sure that all the links of your wires are the same length and the terminations are all aligned correctly. Then here you go.

Don't even try another type of insulation strippers
I have a few automatic insulation strippers of the type that when pressed the jaws open like a V where one side holds the wire and the other side strips the insulation. The problem with them is that it is almost impossible to strip only a small length of the insulation and the stripped length can vary from one use to the next. This is not the case with the Knipex insulation strippers. You can easily control exactly the length of insulation to remove, and it is so easy to use, and so much fun.Yes, they may be more expensive that the regular automatic strippers, but they are well worth the price.

These work great!
I do a lot of control wiring and repairs. These are my new "go to" wire strippers. "A+" Knipex - these are a home run!

Excellent Strippers
I should have bought these years ago. I wrestled with traditional wire strippers for years, especially small, 20 and smaller ga. It removes outer covering with ease.

Expensive but totally worth it
