Jude Jewelers 4mm Stainless Steel Temperature Sensative Color Changing Wedding Band Mood Ring

this is the second one I bought from this company and it does not work just like the first one was a dud also.they do not check the item before sending it out to see if it works so the only conclusion I can come up with is they are ordering it from china without inspecting the item and advertising it as the greatest thing since sliced bread.all it takes is a quick glance to see if it changes colors before sending it out. this is my last time I will ever do business with this seller. word to the wise shop elsewhere and ask if the item works before buying. if they won't assure you it works then they are just rip off artist.

I bought 2 rings (temperature kind). I bought the silver band and the black band. The silver band seems to be holding up well in my kind of working conditions. The black one not at all. Within about a week it started to...get "gross" looking. I don't know what these temperature rings use to make the colors change but whatever the material , the material in my black band...went bad and now it looks awful looking. I don't know why it happened because my silver band is Awesome. I will however buy a new one since the silver band is holding up but I'm not buying another black one. So guys, just a little caution when buying the black band. I will give it 3 stars since my silver band is holding up.

Nice ring but doesn’t work at all!!! It’s just completely black and doesn’t change any colors. I should have believed the negative reviews for this ring. They are true, don’t buy this it’s a waste of money.

OK - so I've been debating what to write here. Bear with me. My son got a mood ring on a trip this summer and he promptly lost it. I was bummed out for him, so I jumped on Amazon and, after measuring his finger, bought him what I thought would fit.Well, I was wrong. It was too small. I got it on - bad dad move - then we couldn't get it off. We tried every trick in the book - nothing. So, poor little guy (he's 9) I have a sonic tool that I used, over the course of 3 hours because he wouldn't let me cut more than a few seconds at a time - and I finally got through the stupid thing. I figured I'd just pull it apart with two pairs of needle nose pliers. Nope, literally wouldn't budge!I have a buddy whose a fire fighter, and even though this was now almost 11:30 PM, he told me to zip down to the local firehouse and they'd be waiting for me with a ring cutter. Well, they were, and no, it didn't work. Nothing. The person in charge went and got another ring cutter with a drill attached to it - nothing. Nada. Zero. Zip. Zilch. I then told them that I had already cut through the other side, and they proceeded to have 2 fire fighters - each with a pair of pliers, attempt to pull it apart. Nope, they couldn't budge it either!They then went and talked in private - and he came back out and said, "OK Dad. We're going to give it one more shot. If we can't get it, you're going to have to go to the ER".I held my little guy, screaming in my ear, as they gave it one last shot and FINALLY they got it off.His finger was fine, but the ring went right back together as though no one did anything. Unreal.Amazon promptly gave me a no-hassle return, I ordered a right 2 sizes larger - and all is well with the world.So, long story short, if you want a seriously freakin' bulletproof Stainless Steel ring that would last a Nuclear explosion - go for this bad boy. As long as it fits - it'll be the best $10 you've ever spent!

This is a stainless steel ring (most of the mood rings available are 'alloy' or brass that I have sensitivities to). Stainless steel is a metal I can tolerate. This ring runs about a 1/2 size too small. It is 'comfort fit' which curves the inside contours inward and kinda makes it tighter; perhaps that is the reason. If this ring came in 1/2 sizes, you could just go up a 1/2 size to get a better fit -- but is only has whole sizes. Something to think about, Jude Jewelers!!!!

I think I got 2 dud rings. Did the gold trim mood ring and neither will change colors. How can I contact the company? Beautiful gold and perfect fit just wont change colors

Beautiful ring, seems to be well constructed with no rough edges anywhere. I wear a size 11 1/2 - 12 and a 12 fit me perfectly. Color changing is really cool to watch, and don't forget the "keep dry" warning and keep it away from water.

I have one major issue with this ring: only one small patch actually changes color, while the rest stayed utterly black. Disappointed.EDIT:I ordered the ring again (attempting to change it from a size 7 to 8) and got another 7. Not happy about that, but I decided to run an experiment on it when it stayed black on my finger: I ran hot water over it. When it worked, I decided to do the same with the first ring I ordered, and it also changed, and not just the small patch, but the whole thing. My guess is either I'm that stressed on a constant basis or it's a circulation issue due to the ring being a size too small. Helpful hint to those considering this item: order this ring at your usual size, as the comfort fit does not help it slide on or off any easier, plus it does not give an accurate mood reading when it's too small.
