Q: Does this drone require the user to reconnect the gyro sensors each time the motor stops?

No, but you should recalibrate the gyros once in a while. I have a couple drones/quadcopters and this is one of my favorites. Very easy to fly due to the altitude hold ability.

Q: Is it easy to stabilize like the other models?

My six year old was a pro with about 30 minutes of practice. Super simple.
