Buy EKG/ECG Interpretation: Everything you Need to Know about the 12 - Lead ECG/EKG Interpretation and How to Diagnose and Treat Arrhythmias by Meloni M.D., S., Mastenbjörk M.D., M., Meloni M.D., S., Creations, Medical (ISBN: 9781734741353) from desertcart's Book Store. Everyday low prices and free delivery on eligible orders. Review: UK Physiotherapist - I found the book really easy to follow, especially the ECG diagnosis section which is in alphabetical order. The description paired with each diagnosis was insightful, however I found the arrows particularly helpful as this allowed me to be confident in what I was looking at. I found the exercises after each chapter a useful self-assessment tool, as it highlights any outstanding learning gaps, or information which I may not fully understand yet. Perhaps a case study exercise would be beneficial to apply new knowledge to practice, but without the pressure. For non-practitioners, I think more images may be beneficial (e.g. when describing the tools used to perform an ECG). Overall I genuinely enjoyed reading this book and I learnt a lot, I will recommend this book to any medical student who is struggling with ECG interpretation. Review: Brilliant and Informative - I think this is a great book for beginners but also just to refresh the brain if you already know how to interpret ECG’s. It really goes into depth and I particularly love the visual aids which makes it that little bit easier. The book is very well put together and structured, starting with the basics and then moving on to more complex content as the book progresses. I would recommend this book to anyone who has an interest in learning how to read ECG’s and I plan on sharing this book on my instagram to hopefully help fellow students and health professionals. Amazing job on the book and a great read, I will definitely be using this for future reference! 🙂

Really great content, clear explanations, would love more colour!
My favourite thing about this book is the incredibly simple language, there isn’t a lot of medical jargon which makes this book easy to understand, in particular to medical students who are just starting their clinical years. I found a lot of books over complicate the ECG but this is really great especially when explaining the axis. I thought in particular, the descriptions of the complexes of the ECG were brilliant, it really gave me a fresh perspective on it and helped me to understand it better- mostly due to the simple language. The exercises are great and make sure that you have read and understood the chapter, they relate to knowing the key facts and test knowledge very well. Adding in more, would be even better, although I appreciate this isn’t a question book. I also enjoyed that each diagnosis is given its’ own section, the most important conditions are really throughly explained with sufficient detail which I think helps a lot. I personally learn the best from conditions so this benefitted me. I think my main improvement points concern the aesthetics of the book and images. I think some images could be of higher quality and be more in colour, as a visual learner this would really help!

Great book
Great book perfect for anyone who struggles with interpreting ECGs (LOL like every medical student). It shows you what the ECG will look like for the most common cardiac conditions as well as providing you with questions to test your knowledge. Unlike most other books it also contains arrows to point out the abnormalities it is talking about which makes it super easy to grasp what an abnormal and what a normal ECG should look like.

A Neat Little ECG Textbook! Recommended by A UK Medical Student
Overall, I think this is a neat little ECG textbook. I like the cover and I like the way the content is structured. The content is not overcomplicated, but at the same time not too simplified, which is a plus for me personally! The ECGs are very clear and large enough to see what's going on. I think the arrows on most of the ECG strips are incredibly helpful for pointing out what exactly I'm supposed to be looking out for, for each of the abnormalities! And helps reinforce the "textbook" characteristics for each abnormality in my mind. I also like how it goes beyond the ECG, in regards to discussing the pathology and treatments. I always appreciate questions and excercises in textbooks. The ones in it are sufficient for revision, but I wish that there were even more! Especially for chapter 5, with all the diagnoses to use and apply knowledge with. Some case-based questions would've been the icing on the cake! Something to improve for the third edition, perhaps? :) Other than that. No complaints!

Really helpful beginning to end :)
Overall, a really good book. Teaching is clearly done with the purpose of gaining understanding as opposed to memorisation, and I think that really helps when thinking of the causes and effects of a disease process instead of just 'mobitz 1 looks like this just because it does'. The diagrams are really helpful and thorough explanations on all were also beneficial. I really enjoyed it and feel like I understand much more than I did before!

would highly recommend this book
Overall my opinion of the book is that it is very informative and educational, I came out of it feeling like I had really learned something which was more valuable than what I learned in my secondary school biology class, lol!

Perfect book for ECG learning

Overall, I think the book is great. The text is spaced out nicely making it very easy to read. I like the chart in Chapter 4 that breaks down the heart problems and heart rhythm type. The information is presented in clear groups (like p waves are present or p waves are absent) making it easy to learn the information. The questions are relevant to the information in the book and would probably be seen in other tests (for example an onboarding ECG test that nurses take for hospitals). ECG interpretation chapter is very clear and I like how it is in alphabetical order. Also, I like that the treatment section in each ECG was kept simple. I would definitely recommend this book to nurses (especially ER, telemetry, and ICU). It is simple and clear for newer nurses to use and has a lot of great information for seasoned nurses.

Consigliato
