FPW73-19 18-Inch Sump Basin

Worth every penny. Super sturdy. Perfect sump pump basin. My last sump pump basin was steel and it has completely corroded. Thanks to the previous home owner that chose steel. This one ought to last a lifetime.

Very sturdy, nicely constructed. I installed this in my crawlspace after first using a rotozip with carbide bit to cut two 4" holes for drainage tile followed by drilling holes in the sides just below the footer. Backfilled with rock on filter paper. Funny thing, it would not fit in the crawlspace door so had to cut a bit off one side of the lip. Still fully functional. Using with a 1/3 hp Zoeller pump and Zoeller 508 DC Aquanot backup pump.

This sump basin is far more sturdy that those sold in the large box stores and I am very pleased with it. Installed in yard with sump pump to correct drainage issues. Can support weight of a riding lawnmower when mowing. Only disappointment is that a plastic grate cover is not available from the same manufacturer - a grate was required to capture rainfall surface runoff from the yard. Had to purchase an appropriate sized grate from another manufacturer that was not an exact fit, but I made it work.

Basin is sturdy and well made but do not be fooled by the photo. The actual basin you receive does not have precut holes. You have to cut or drill them out yourself. I would say it is a bait and switch deal, but the product you get is probably worth more than the one advertised.

i bought this sump basin with a cover (bought separately- AK Industries AKP80009 18" Structural Foam (1) Hole) to collect down spouts and catch basins drainage to one spot and have it move out to one spot- off my property.its solid and feels heavy duty... wished it was cheaper but i needed it quick for the coming rains and this one fit all my needs.with the zoeller sump pump the whole system works great!

This basin is actually 20" deep, and not the same as this picture. It is very sturdy, but does not have any holes in the sides or any guide marks for holes. It has 4 threaded screw holes on top for the lid, but that has to be ordered separately. Did the job.

This was perfect for my basement's sump pump DIY retrofit. I drilled 1/2" holes throughout and it works beautifully. The perfect size for a 1/2 HP sump pump. Very sturdy basin.
