I needed an good quality half-round umbrella stand to place in a particular spot. Not some cheap plastic thing you fill with water or sand. This item worked perfectly! Heavy base so it won't tip over, secures the umbrella like it should, and looks great.

Perfect for a narrow deck/space. It's a bit tipsy and I had to shim the base to stabilize it. Pretty!

I selected this half round base to use with a 9 ft half patio umbrella (same brand). It might be half round in design, but it is fully functional and GREAT for my umbrella. This is the first half-umbrella set up that I ever tried, so I selected this half base - I think it is awesome! The horizontal part of the base has a pretty design, and the vertical tube section, that holds the pole upright, actually screws into the base (not using a nut and bolt). My umbrella has a 1.5 in diameter pole, which is a nice fit and is secured with a tightening knob (screw). The base will easily work placed closer to the exterior wall, but in my case, I had an light fixture in the way of my umbrella. I own a full size base that I could make work, but this is definitely the best choice. Perfect for the half umbrella!

It is good for tight spaces. We wanted some shade but the area for the umbrella does not allow much space for a full size stand. This works but make sure the umbrella is tightly or it can tip.

I love the half umbrella stand! It takes up half the room on my small porch and I now have room for a chair and small table. Great concept! The half umbrella is a great item to go with! The stand is sturdy and holds my umbrella firmly, even in lighter storms. For stronger winds, I do take the top half of the umbrella off for safety.

The durability is amazing. I live on the 3rd floor with an open balcony in New Orleans. It had held strong through strong winds and crazy weather. I had a different umbrella stand before I ordered this one and my umbrella flew out twice, hence the need for a stronger base. No problem at all since I ordered this one.

I used it a few times and in less than a month it doesn’t work. The pole they provided doesn’t securely fit in the base so the entire thing tips over when you put them umbrella in. Which is even more ridiculous considering the umbrella is sold by the some company who makes this base. Do not waste your money!

The pole section doesn’t screw in to completion, it just spins and spins no matter how many times you try to screw it in for a tight fit. And the stabilizing portion for the umbrella is a joke.

It works well enough with shims. No matter how much I tighten it, with the umbrella in place, it leans forward from the post, a significant amount. I can see the movement between the post and the base.

Great outdoor umbrella base. Not too heavy, easy to move.
