Q: I need to wash mine because the dog lays on it. What id's the best way without ruining it?

Dust and dirt on surface can be removed easily. Please try to hand wash or wipe clean, that's the most convenient way with minimal efforts.

Q: is this rug machine washable?

I know the instructions say do not machine wash. When I need to clean it I plan to wash in cold water and on gentle cycle, then let it at dry. I have not washed yet which is why I can’t give a definitive answer.

I have only washed ours once so far when they first came in, otherwise I carefully vacuumed them by standing on one end so it doesn’t get sucked up into the vacuum. I washed it on the gentle cycle with regular detergent that I use for clothes. Then threw it in the dryer on low heat. They are very thin carpets.
