A Must Have for Japanophiles
This is definitely the original Tonkatsu sauce from Japan and one of the most delightful sauces in the world. Whether you use it with traditional pork cutlets or chicken, it is indispensable. The nice thing about this 3-pack is that they are the smaller bottles and so there is virtually no chance of waste. Also, this provisioner sent very fresh ones with nearly a year of shelf life. I'm sure that I'll be back for more shortly - it goes fast.

Bull-Dog Tonkatsu Sauce
Bull-Dog Vegetable & Fruit Tonkatsu Sauce, is a favorite ingredient when making Yakisoba. I have tried a few different brands, but find Bull-Dog to have the best consistency and taste.A two bottle set, rdered from JDJ Trading Co through Amazon. Received the next day. As cost goes, when I began ordering the sauce in 2023, it cost $10.70 for two 10.01 Fl. Oz bottles. Today, same size cost $12.73 for two. Not a small increase,, but I believe it is still a good value for its quality.

Tastes almost like I remember...just way too salty
I lived in Thailand for a while years ago, and I fell in love with this Bulldog Tonkatsu Sauce. It is impossible to find in my town, so I was very happy when I found it here!I have used it on several food items (chicken and pork dishes, mainly), and it tastes almost exactly how I remember! It is very tasty, and adds a good flavor to the meal. However, my main issue is how salty it is. It has 340mg of Sodium per tablespoon, and you can definitely taste the salt. I don't remember it being this salty in Thailand, but maybe my pallet has changed? (I do shy away from very salty products, so perhaps it stands out more to me) Or, it could be that the US version is manufactured differently. Who knows, but I do wish it was less salty because it distracts from the taste. Other than the salty taste, it does add good flavor to the dish!

Bulldog brand is best
Excellent as always. Though one can make their own tonkatsu sauce, I always use this brand. It's excellent.

Awesome
Was eating in our favorite Korean restaurant and asked about the sauce, the waiter was slightly embarrassed to admit that it was not homemade, but did write down the name...and we're so glad!! Buy some....if you like a sweet BBQ style sauce, you'll be happy.

A great sauce
Discovered this in Japan to use on hirekatsu (fried pork filet) and have used it ever since. Can be used on almost anything fried especially with panko (Japanese bread crumbs). Our all time favorite. Hard to find and at a reasonable price.
