Holds up to heavy sparks from grinders!
Most durable laces that can still be tied well enough that I have ever seen!Lasted over two years of heavy sparks and even occasional molten metal from use as a steel pipe fitter/fabricator. Normal cheap laces last a month or two, "durable" laces and the original laces that come with the name brand timberland boots last 3-5 months, these lasted over two years and more than paid in the difference in cost. Still they failed in the same way, dry rot and failure in the underside which never got cleaned but zero damage from sparks so they far outlasted everything. To give an idea of the abuse, my $190 timberland boots only last 12-16 months and my full leather apron to block the sparks at my stomach only lasts a year so these things can clearly take abuse. Worth the money for me most definitely. The main con is the cost, really unless your dealing with sparks or mud these arent worth your money in my opinion, but some people really need laces that can handle sparks and weld slpatter and these work for that surprizingly well. The only real con beyond the cost is the stiffness, they are more difficult to tie but I learned an effective way to tie it with little risk of untieing and easy untieing later. Single underloop to start basically the way most teach to tie shoes, then single bunny ear and pull the otherside all the way through (dont make two ears at the same time, just one), then bunny ear the other side as a double tie and get it very tight. The first bunny ear tightens to the shoe and the second ear tightens to the first ear. This way never has come untied unless the string was left too long and got stepped on, actually these get tighter than conventional laces only doing this way specifically but releasing isnt an issue since pulling the correct string will pull out one loop then pull the other and its untied. The laces do require a very tight tie to not come untied, but doing the separate single bunny ears as described allows for a very tight tie without the shoe itself being too tight. Dunno why but tieing the bunny ears together for a double tie does not stay tied since they are too stiff, and only doing the bunny ears for a single tie as normally taught for tennis shoes doesnt stay either. And this style isnt as effective with normal laces as with these laces either, im on my feet for 10-12 hours a day in these climbing over stuff and climbing inside of pipe and never came untied unless the release string was pulled. Yet my thin laces on my tennis shoes never stayed tied with this tieing style. If you need laces that can handle sparks and can figure out a tie for them since they are thicker these are very highly recommended!

Great laces, leaves black on hands /shrug
I've bought these laces at least 3 times. I deal with some harsh chemicals, hydrochloric acid being the worst, these do a great job of withstanding the harsh environments. The latest pair I just installed on my newest pair of boots are leaving black dye on my hands. Haven't had this before. Maybe fresh out of the coloring process or trying a new process to counteract them getting white as soon? Still seem to be the same product quality otherwise. Time will tell.

Appear Unaffected By Wear - Excellent Product
No more broken boot laces. These appear to be able to outlive the shoes and be usable for far longer than any shoelace I've ever used. Excellent product.

Great laces but…..
When I finished putting the shoelaces on my shoes my hands were black. I noticed that the laces were covered with a black waxy product. It was very difficult to wash it off my hands. Then I thought if my shoes get wet the laces will stain the shoes so I washed the laces off. They were a nice gray color after that. I put beeswax on the laces to help them tighten up when I tie them. Now would I buy them again! Absolutely! These laces are so tough that I doubt if I could wear them out . Strongest laces I ever bought. Just keep in mind that when you get them wash them with a little soap and water.

A customer for life
Best laces in the world, in my opinion. The color does fade and when you first use them the color will come off on your hands (which easily washes off, thankfully). These will last long enough to transfer them to your next pair of boots.

Mixed feelings at first, but durable for sure.
For context, I am an electrician who only wears his work boots. No other shoes. Needless to say, my boots are well used, but not tortured like some other trades are. They look nice and have a good color. also, they do seem to be holding up better than ones I’ve had before. HOWEVER, for the first while they are a pain to keep knotted, and the knot tends to slip over time. After a good amount of time, it kinda sorts its self out and will hold the knot as you expect, but they do have a break in period. Normally, I’m against “break in periods” but they do hold strong and still haven't started to tare. Prefer these over the Kevlar laces.

Indestructible cat toy
My cat is OBSESSED with strings. They are the only thing she wants to play with, and she wants to play constantly. But she plays rough. She gnaws them to bits with ease (and has almost certainly eaten some when we’re not looking). We bought her this “unbreakable” shoe lace to tie to a stick for her chasing pleasure. These laces are described as if they are the strongest material known to man, and we were so sure that she would destroy them within days but figured it was worth a shot. That little kitty has put these strings through the wringer and there is not a mark on them! They still look brand new after many weeks of rigorous play! They are stiff enough to not untie easily, which is great for keeping it on the stick. And she doesn’t get her claws stuck on them either. She can bite all she wants and never get through. Safe to say she loves them! If your cat also loves string, I would definitely recommend these strings :)

Clean laces before use
Would give a higher rating if the dye didn't rub off.Feel strong and tough. Look good. The laces are rather stiff to tighten up and tie. Maybe they get easier to tie after a bit of use? Dye on the laces rubs off on fingers when tying the laces. I'm told this will stop eventually, and it can be lessened by running the laces through a clean cloth 10 or 12 times. Best to do this before starting to use the laces or putting them in your boots I would say.
