Meriwool very nice!
Purchased long sleeve thermal Base layer in medium of 250 weight. After one month, it is holding up very well. Have machine washed it in cold, and hung dry and it has kept its size. It is soft and warm. A healthy, breathable fiber worth every penny. The waist is done of very high quality, wide and not scrunched, rather a fine hold within the material. Our only wish is that they came in v-neck too.

My husband loves it
My husband really loves this mid-layer. He's climbing 14-ers and he starts as the earliest rays of dawn light the path. This merino wool mid layer is perfect for him when the high altitude mornings are cold but quickly warm with the sun and his exertion. He also loves that it stays in place when his pack rubs and causes other shirts to ride up. The prices is much better than all of the local chain sporting goods stores. We'll probably be buying more in other colors.

Great product
Excellent winter shirt. Always seems to be the right temp. Much more breathable than cotton. I can wear it during the day and overnight with no issues. Highly recommended

My every day second layer
My every day second layer. Great-fitting, light weight yet warm, looks great, and super comfortable. Reliably sheds stains and odors. Lasts for years; the cuff and neck do eventually start to fray, but I don't know of any other garment of this softness and lightness that would hold up nearly as well.

High Quality Merino You Can Trust
These Meriwool merino shirts are so soft and smooth to the touch that the sensation is just incredible. They are at least on par with, if not better than, the SmartWool equivalent 250 base layer merino in quality and feel. I'm so glad that I explored this brand. High quality merino shirts at a reasonable price are such an essential of life. Highly recommend to anyone looking for warmth from natural fiber. I wish the world can have more grasslands for more sheep and goats to live so they provide enough merino and cashmere garments for the population so we don't have to resort to synthetic fibers!

90% the comfort, all the performance for only 50% the price of IceBreaker, Ibex, etc.
If I had to pit this shirt against something from Ibex or IceBreaker quality-wise, I'd say it's about 90% of those brands' workmanship, but of course at about 50% (or less) the price. So, from a value standpoint, it's absolutely worth it. What do you give up? I'd say overall softness slightly misses the mark, at least comparatively. Again, it's probably only about 10% more itchy than an Ibex (RIP) Woolies shirt - not uncomfortable in the slightest, but every now and then I notice the texture/feel with the Meriwool shirt whereas I never think about the feel of my name-brand shirts. Hardly a deal breaker, but worth knowing if you're incredibly particular about your clothing's feel. The overall fit is good, a bit trim or athletically-oriented (good for thermal performance), but not too tight. That said, you're not getting the more custom-feeling, multi-panel construction from something like the Ibex Woolies. Once again, the latter shirt is probably 10% more comfortable simply because its construction is more complex and ultimately better tailored to the chest/shoulder area without relying so much on the fabric's inherent ability to stretch over one's angles and curves (merino is known for many things, but not for being overly pliable or stretchy). Everything else is on-par: fit and finish, strength of seams, durability of fabric, quick dry capability, machine wash- and dryer-friendliness, resistance to odors, etc. - it's all up to snuff. Personally, I can live with the compromise for the price; $45 for all the performance and nearly all the comfort of what would otherwise be a 100-120 dollar shirt is hard to beat. But if you want the absolute best, maybe skip this shirt; just know that in order to get noticeably better you'll be spending double.

Warm and comfortable
Wasn't sure if merino wool would be itchy. It is not. I wear this next to skin and it's perfect. Comfortable and warm. I think it looks good enough just to wear by itself or as a base layer. My typical shirt size is a medium which is what I purchased and pretty happy with the sizing. I like it so much I purchased another in a different color and can see purchasing more as a fall/winter staple.

Superb quality
Beautifully made, robust, great quality merino. I bought a set of top & bottoms for my friend because he suffers with very bad night sweats. He used to wake in the middle of the night to a soaking wet bed & have to get up & change all the linen. The merino set absorbs most of it now & he is sleeping much better as a result. Thank you Meriwool!

Product had a tear after 1 wash
Shirt was rather tight as someone who is 172cm and 73kg. Additionally, the shirt had a small tear at the armpit area right after washing it once without any wears. Disappointing that the shirt tore so easily.

Poor build quality
It pleats and shrinks dramatically after a wash without using a dryer. Itโs also not very breathable unlike most wool shirts. The only good thing going for it is that itโs soft to the touch.

Worth the money
This is brilliant - have worn it on long bike trips and it doesn't smell! Washed it various times and it hasn't lost its shape either. Worth the money.
