It's exactly what it looks like, works well and photo transfer is pretty quick, even in large volumes. I like it and will continue to use it for a while! I also love that they put in the listing how to find it on your phone, that's super helpful adn self-aware.

I've edited this review to change it from a low rating to a higher rating in that the problem is not with this cable adapter, but with the iPhone's file structure, which is all on the cloud server and not on the phone. I'm more familiar with Android>Files and Storage actually showing folders that are stored on the phone itself as I don't use iDrive or a cloud service on my other phone (Android)."This lightning cable adapter did not work with my iPhone 11. I plugged it in, plugged in the USB flashdrive v2 and my phone didn't recognize it. I restarted the phone while it was plugged in to test whether this would help, but it didn't. I had planed to use it to transfer my icloud stored photos to a flashdrive. Will need to order another product."

Received this device today and was eager to download pics from my recent trip to Vietnam. I plugged it into my phone, added the memory stick to the USB port. The memory stick lit up as it initialized so I know it was live. I located the photos on my iPhone 14 and selected 3 as a trial, then followed the directions for downloading them printed on the enclosed card. Nothing happened. I repeated the process several times with the same result. I then tried two other memory sticks with the same result: nothing uploaded. Tried a few other things with no success so perhaps the device itself is bad? I've been working on computers since 1972 so tried everything I know to see if i could get it to work but no dice. Big disappointment. Will return and try another brand...

Ease of use transferring photos from Sony camera to Iphone.

Updated: I changed from 1 to 3 stars because the sell proactively reached out to me and provided a refund. It did seem like this adapter could work for other peoples uses, just not mine - copying large video files.Original review:I got this adapter so that I could transfer video files to my iPad on a long international trip. Within a couple seconds of trying to copy the file to my iPad, or watch the video on my iPad there would be an error message and my iPad would drop the connection to the SD card. This made the adapter completely useless to me.I got the same error trying to copy the files to my iPhone. Plugging the SD card into my laptop and transferring the video files to my iPad wirelessly worked fine. This used all the same hardware other than this adapter, so my issues were caused by the adapter.
