Angle Stop Add-A-Tee Valve 3/8 or1/2 for TOTO Washlet Bidet and Handheld Sprayer

So I wanted to connect a sprayer to the toilet bowl, unfortunately the typical connection wasn’t possible. Most sprayers or bidets connect to the base of the toilet tank using the 7/8” toilet tank pump. My toilet at my apt is one of these where most of the tank plumbing is hidden and inaccessible because I have some “fancy toilet” I guess. After so much borrowing and multiple trips to the hardware store I had purchased several pieces needed to connect a simple sprayer. In the pic I posted with this review you can see all the other parts needed in order to connect a sprayer or bidet. In total I had spend around $50 in parts. I’m the other hand this small affordable valve I finally found on Amazon was able to achieve what I needed; to connect a sprayer and a regulator valve to the toilet plumbing. It took me less than 5 minutes to install this valve. It works perfectly and easy access to it. I can control the flow and turn it off when not in use of while not home. It is sturdy, well built, and seems durable. It also came with all the seals needed to prevent leaks. You will not find this valve at The Home Depot, Lowe’s, or Ace Hardware. I went to all those hardware stores and I wasn’t not able to find it or anything remotely similar. The only option they have is to spend lots of money and to purchase several parts and if doing so, you have much higher chances of having a leak. I definitely recommend this valve. Completely worth it!

I needed to attach a hose from my Genie Bidet to my plumbing, but unfortunately there was no access to the bottom of the toilet tank on my American Standard Town Square toilet so I could not use the very nice tee valve provided with the Genie Bidet. Unfortunately the big box hardware stores had no easy solution, but then I found this tee connection with valve and adapter which solved my plumbing dilemma. The build quality seems good enough and I was careful to ensure the rubber seals were properly in place and I did not cross thread or over tighten the fittings. No leaks from the get go and after a month, still no leaks. Without this tee adapter I don't see how I could have put a bidet on this particular toilet. Thanks Amazon for making it available!

Seems to work so far, does what it says on the page and is worth the extra money for those toilets where the tank fill is fairly inaccessible. Some other comments noted that the 1/2" adapter is a bit of a pain since tightening the hose on likes to unscrew the adapter. It's an issue for sure, but the adapter is kind of forced that way to work. It's fairly painless to put the adapter in, get it nice and tight, then use a second adjustable wrench or similar to hold while tightening the bidet hose on. Getting one without an adapter is an option, but the flexibility is nice. All in all, just what I needed and annoying that the actual bidets don't come with or give an option to get. It's not exactly an uncommon plumbing layout these days, especially with the pex waterlines pretty standard.

A few years ago I installed a bidet attachment on my toilet. It came with a plastic T adapter to connect the water supply. After a few years of use, the adapter started leaking water onto the floor. Since there was no way to shut off the water to just the bidet, I had to disconnect the water supply from the toilet water supply. I found this, which is a much better quality connector and is also a valve to shut off the water to the bidet without having to disconnect anything. It works like a champ, and I'm sure it'll hold up longer than I will.

Adapter does fit Toto perfectly. Used Teflon tape since it is metal to plastic but no leaks and threaded easily. Obviously, be careful not to cross thread. Part is machined well and high quality. I ended up using a different 3/8 tee without a stop valve and used the adapter from this item to connect my Toto s5 Washlet bidet to my water supply. This would also work well and is pretty much plug and play. I just wanted less weight and didn't need an extra stop valve.

I decided to install an instant hot water dispenser in my kitchen. For this, I obviously needed to split from the cold water line which required this exact item - that includes its own shut off. Four really helpful tips that hopefully will help you: 1) get a splitter like this one with its own shut off valve. I’m pretty sure you can find these at larger big box stores, but I live in a small town with a small hardware store and was not able to find a splitter WITH its own shut off valve. **This is very important as being able to turn off and on the water to the instant without having to turn off the water to your kitchen faucet at the same time is really helpful. 2) Make sure to note the measurements of the input and output water lines. I chose this size splitter (3/8) based on the specifications of the waterline input to a Delta faucet that matched my kitchen faucet, shown in the photo. **The size is different for a standard faucet that typically comes with the Insinkerator hot water units. Double check! 3) because I noticed that the splitter easily unscrewed from the water lines if bumped when taking out or returning bottles of cleaning materials etc under the sink, I put some painters tape around each of the connections to be sure that the connections stay intact. Also, as you can see in one of my photos, I used a water sensing device at the lowest point in the cabinet, just in case one of the connections came loose. You can see that there are a lot of connections that could fail under the sink with the dishwasher connection, the sink, garbage disposal, and now the hot water dispenser. Better safe, than sorry. 4) final tip that helped me a lot, and also reinforces the importance of having a shut off valve like this one dedicated to the hot water dispenser: you can see in one of my photographs, that I have the valve partially opened. I found this managed the water pressure which was originally too high. The hot water faucet should have relatively low water pressure so it doesn’t splash when filling your cup. Partially closing the valve did the trick. Anyway… I hope this is helpful. The device is great and I would certainly buy it again. I bought a Toto washlet. The included T-connector （7/8') not fit in my skirted toilet. This T-connector (3/8') is easy to install and work like a Chime, especially for Toto washlet. I strongly recommend to buy.
