Great addition
It's a fun additive to the base game and adding the pavilions adds a nice 3d effect

Simple to Learn, Tile Laying Game
We love Lanterns. It is similar to Splendor if you like that game. It is a tile laying game though where you collect colored cards and trade them for points. I love the theme and the art of this game- it is so pretty! It is well thought out and color blind friendly if that is needed for you. Easy to teach and learn!! ***ORGANIZER PICTURED IS FROM ETSY. IT DOES NOT COME WITH THE GAME***

Great Expansion
Adds a lot of interesting new elements to the base game for some added complexity. I'll still stick to the base game when teaching new players or playing with light gamers, but will add these in when we start getting bored.

Adds more replayability to the game
Lanterns is a fun game with rather simple rules. This Emperor's Gifts expansion adds a lot of replayability, especially since every game you can play with a different combination of new rules. If you enjoy the original game and plan on playing it many more times you should consider buying this expansion.

Simple! Beautiful! Fun!
This game is so easy to learn and quick to teach newcomers. The basic concept is you place tiles, collect colored lanterns based on how you placed the tiles, then score based on the colors you collect. Points decrease over time, so you'll my to be first to score. You do so by matching three pairs, four of a kind, or one of each color. That's it! The game is high quality!

This is a amazing game for friends or family game night. Had alot of replay ability but I'f you get addicted to it there is expansion to change it up. Super fun game and wonderful way to spend time with loved ones.

Super nice, super simple, and quite lovely. It's kind of cool to work together to create a beautiful layout of tiles, but a real lack of depth of gameplay makes this game fun only once in a while. Great for a casual night if you're looking for a short game
