Works well! Price is a bargain! Brand was the same as used by my wife's physical therapist (who is a very nice young lady who makes a fuss over my pet turtle)! She made us aware that our home oxygen meter was low by about 5 points on the calibration. We are lucky to have such a helpful aid who diagnosed the old meter and suggested this bargain.

Been using for a year now. Very nice to have when you have COPD or any other type of breathing problems.

As other reviewers have noted, there is much to like about this little device: Nicely packaged…has it’s own little carrying case…easy to read LED display…not expensive. I also noted that other purchasers have mentioned that the batteries that come with the unit don’t last very long. I alleviated that problem by not using those batteries. (I will save them for something like an alarm clock). Also noted: it would be easy to load the batteries incorrectly. The diagram inside the compartment is very difficult to decipher. I suggest you do what I did: Use an illuminated magnifying glass to read the battery diagram properly. Inserting the batteries incorrectly may ruin the device!)As for how it works, I checked it against the output on a ‘smart watch’ that I wear that also gives Pulse & O2 levels. They agreed on both counts. I will take it with me the next time I get a medical Check-Up and compare the numbers against those in the Dr.’s office. I was confused about the “two modes” available by pushing the START button a second time. All it means is it switches from being readable to the wearer, and a mode readable to someone facing you. (In other words, in Mode 2 the reading will be upside down to you!)
