Switch Lube Kit

Precisely all you would need to get into the hobby of custom keyboards. Great value for money, versatile enough to stow away in its own container, whilst small enough to not take up much space. Decent quality parts and lube. Can’t go wrong.

This set is nothing to write home about, but it is great for the price, considering you get decent switch lube and the tools. + Lube. I don't know what brand it technically is but is rated 205g0. I lubed 80 switches and there is still more than a half of the container to go. It is smooth, much smoother when compared to Glorious G-Lube (which I suggest using only for the stabs, not the switches). + Switch Opener. It is metal and seems very sturdy. It is for Cherry style housings, and my switches (AKKO Lavender Purples) are Kailh style, so I used another plastic one instead of this one, sadly. But this one being metal, I imagine it would last longer than my plastic one. + Brushes. Nothing special, they're smaller and good for the price. Did the job. + Tweezers. Also nothing special, but gets the job done. - The tip of the stem holder is a bit off. The four "arms" are unaligned to four directions, two of them are closer to each other than the rest and it may result in picking up the stem sideways. Neutral: I found the keycap puller not so comfortable for me and preferred the stock one that came with my RK71 keyboard.

Not much to say, great little kit, the tools do exactly what they're supposed to, metal and sturdy, the lube seems to work well. One negative which cost it the 5 stars, the tub of lube seems to leak, the the inside of the package was 'well lubed' when the package arrived. I cleaned it up and it was fine until I threw the lot in my backpack, when i opened it again, presumably, the rattling around caused the whole thing to flip around leaking lube again. Would be nicer if the tub had a rubber seal, that might help.

Very good set value for money you get everything you need from opening the keyboard to removing and opening keycaps .The only downside is that the lube container is not the best so be aware when opening ! However the difference in the keyboard sound after using this lube is night and day 10/10 im happy that i ordered would do again if i have to .

I'm very pleased with this set. Everything is surprisingly good quality and the switch opener appears to cater for both Cherry and Kailh switches. I'm about 35 switches into a set and everything feels so much smoother and quieter than it did before the lube. Recommended!

The kit is OK, grease is nice and comes in a self seal bag. The metal switch opener is good quality and the jewellery holder does what it's suppose to. The brushes are cheap ,but do the job. standard tweezers. The switch puller is made of cheap "cheese like" metal. The one that came with my keyboard is far superior to it. There is not a keycap puller, but most KB come with one. The case it is a nice touch to keep all these items in one place.

Nice little kit with well made items. Everything works as needed with no issues for me. Only issue I had at all was that the paint brush that was included with mine was too long to fit into the plastic case which was odd because you know, why not? I ended up just chopping the end off of mine so it would fit. Aside from that the lube seems to lube things down as intended and fixed my issue of my WASD keys getting a bit stiff.

Quality of all the parts described is good. Switch pullers work as advertised including switch opener and lube. I could lube my cherry MX black switches (96 in total) perfectly with all the tools included and needed nothing more. This is a comprehensive kit taking care of everything from removing the switches, opening then, lubing and then putting them all back. You won't need anything else. I would definitely recommend it.

Purchased the black kit, which comes with 2 types of switch openers. Perfect kit for applying lube and cleaning the Epomaker LEOBOG Reaper switches. Really enjoyed it. Everything in the package looked new and sturdy. Keycap remover does not cause damage to the keys, metal switch clamp and metal switch opener are surprisingly very sturdy. I initially purchased the blue kit and had to return it. It was definitely used. Aside from that, the blue kit does not come with the switch opener for the LEOBOG switches and the pencils are shorter than the one in the black kit.
