Clean and Clear here!
I bought these knowing the concern about the residue being left behind. I live in Florida and the water here is pretty hard, so I figured there’s a high risk it’ll happen, so I only bought one bag.My suggestion to anyone who is struggling with the residue or is worried about the residue is to get rinse aid. I’m not 100% sure if that’s the solution, but I used the Seventh Generation Rinse Aid and my dishes came out clear. (I did a very small load to test before potentially ruining a whole wash by the way)Why go through the trouble, especially if you've never had to rinse aid before? My personal reason is that this is one of the few brands I know and love, because 1. It doesn’t do any animal testing on any of their products 2. It’s a more environmentally friendly company than the regular big corporation store brand. The first ingredients are far softer too, not jam packed with heavy duty chemicals, but just enough needed to get everything clean. I order everything cleaning from them, and try out different scents all the time. They’re not overpowering but also not so diluted that you wonder why you bother getting scented in the first place.I can usually buy all their stuff in bulk (sets of 6 or 4) which saves on the amount of times I need to order in any given time frame.I love Method so I decided to try this out knowing the risk, and I’m very relieved that this is another product of theirs that I can support and use.

Dishes come out clean
If it were up to me, I'd be buying the 'regular' name brand dishwasher pods that are advertised in the coupons and supermarket ads. But, my wife insists on certain 'woo-woo' type products, so rather than sleep in the car, I compromise where I can.A few years back, this Method product was noticeably less efficient than the name brands, but either they've improved the cleaning properties, or perhaps my replacing my dishwasher was the key, but it now gets the dishes clean and probably helps the environment as well.To be brief, it works. Dishes go in dirty and come out clean.

DO NOT BUY IF YOU HAVE HARD WATER
My dishes came out so filmy and hard water spots. I googled why and it said Organic dishwasher tablets do not clean well. I tried cleaning my glasses and plates with vinegar and baking soda and the are ruined. Still a film on them that after many washings does not come off.

White residue
I have been trying to find a good dishwasher detergent that is fragrance free. I had high hopes for this one as the reviews looked good. I do have hard water in my city, but this white residue is unacceptable. It seems to affect aluminum based items the worst. If I send them through another cycle with my regular detergent, it does not come off, and I have to scrub it off. One item needed to be soaked in vinegar in order to remove everything out of the grooves. This plastic lid was pretty bad and looked worse than before it went into the washer.

Gets Dishes Clean
The problem I've found with a lot of natural cleaners is that it takes more product to get the job done. They just don't seem to be as effective as the more chemical solutions. I've never had that problem with any Method product and I use a lot of them. I use their dish soap, kitchen/all purpose cleaner spray, hand soap, dryer sheets, and now dishwasher pods. They're all really effective in getting things clean without having to use a lot. Plus they smell fantastic and let's be honest... it makes cleaning more "fun".
