Maui Jim unisex-adult Equator Rectangular Sunglasses

Husband LOVES his Maui Jims, and the last pair went to a watery death off our boat in the Puget Sound... he ordered this pair and loves them. They also up his "sexiness factor" off the charts! So win-win! Same price if we would have ordered them direct or purchased from a big box retailer...

I really wanted to like Equators, but had to return them eventually. The quality is traditional Maui Jim which is amazing. The lens is probably the best there is, although since Hawaii Lava is based on HCL Bronze it's not the darkest like Blue Hawaii or Neutral Gray. Frame build quality is great, however, temples don't have rubber pads (by design) therefore sunglasses don't stay in place. My other Maui Kanaio Coast is sitting way better and not prone to sliding forward. So that was my biggest issue with Equator - they just don't stay in place as I am used to. If only they had rubber pads on temples - would be the best sunglasses out there.

Absolutely Amazing Sunglasses ! You all know the saying "you pay for what you get" and it's a 100% True. These sunglasses come in at 17mm for the bridge 41mm Lens height 65mm and Lens width 135mm for the Temple. The size is a Large fit & sits in between the extra wide world cup and the Peahi. They are generously sized though and with the base curve of 8 they just give you that wrap you need with a flare on the frame front for any glare. For the bridge it's a fixed saddle style with embedded rubber nose pads. The Frames are triple injected nylon that are incredibly light and the arms have amazing spring hinges that make them adjust to the size of your head, high quality it's so smooth opening and closing the glasses. Now for the Lenses they are simply amazing. I picked up the matte black frames with the Hawaii Lava Lens that have the HCL Bronze which are rated for everyday use. They use the super thin glass with their PolarizedPlus2 technology makes it like no other sunglasses, everything just seems so crisp & clear. I wear these sunglasses all day everyday they are just so light and comfortable. With any tinted sunglasses though they do smudge easily so keep your sunglasses on your face or in the case, not recommended on top of your head they will fall off so don't do that, but they do include a cleaning cloth so you can easily just wipe the lenses and your good to go. I live in Chicago and the weather is always changing and these totally accommodate whatever the weather throws at me, I've included a picture of a cold cloudy day and will add a picture when the sun decides to come out but they are fantastic for driving, outdoors in any kind of light conditions or in the stores shopping. They just seem to make everything you see so much better. No squinting required that's what these sunglasses do for you. I've had my share of sunglasses from cheap gas station to high end like Cos..'s and let me just say that Maui Jim blows the socks off of any other company for build and Lens quality. They have a fantastic Two Year Warranty if an arm breaks it's covered or if you do mess up a Lens like drop and nick or scratch it and need a new lens for seventy five bucks they actually replace both lenses even if you need the one replaced. So if your looking for an Amazing pair of sunglasses and the newest style these are the ones to get. Trust me you will not regret it.

These fit my giant head pretty good. Can be a little tight above the ears after wearing for an hour. Ended up returning because the red just didn't look good on me. I may order a different color. Nice shades. Good coverage.

Love the clarity in the lens. Fit nice. Very comfortable on my face. Only problem I had was small issue lens are not fully red they are red the turns to yellowish. From the picture I thought it was going to be red on every angle I saw but no issue the still look good.
