Fun story with great messages!
This series has been a bedtime story staple for my 6 & 7 yo. They love listening to these books with all the interesting characters and magical misadventures Nory and her friends find themselves on. The story throughout is about diversity and acceptance of others and self. It's a great message that is both intriguing and fun and lends itself to bigger conversations with the kids about not being perfect but nonetheless being amazing. The only drawback is that we have to find other books as good to read while we wait for the next Upside-Down Magic book to come out!

Great series!
I think I've bought at least 3 copies of this book to give to kids I know, all well-received. It's a well written cute story that appeals to both boys and girls. I happen to know a number of kiddos with learning differences, ADHD, etc., and it gives them a good perspective on being different without being overly preachy.

Interesting magical series for little kids .
I gifted this Upside-Down magic book to my fourth grader niece . OMG , you can’t believe she is such a big fan of this series . She is trying to relate to the character . She will only read this book every day and I had to lend this book to a friend of her so that she can read something new . Now eagerly waiting for the next in series .

Continues to Be a Really Fun Series
Showing Off - (Upside Down Magic #3) by Sarah Mlynowski, Lauren Myracle, and Emily Jenkins4 out of 5 gnomesThese books continue to be a lot of fun. It’s always great to learn more about the kids in the Upside Down magic class. You even get to find out what their teacher’s power is.This book lets you learn more about Pepper and Nory too. I love Pepper’s idea for the future. Plus Nory might finally be able to accept herself (hopefully.)The main events here are a surprising new friend and the whole school has a talent show. The talent show of course leads to plenty of conflicts but also shows what everyone can do.

Great series for Boys & Girls
My fourth grader loves this series. Can't wait until the next one comes out. The father in this series is not a model father but not all parents are and it doesn't depict him in a way that is aweful either. Any child can handle the family dynamics in this book.
