They work
These splices for 6” hoses actually worked extremely well

Was the correct size, used it on my dust collector

They're good for hose splices but that's not what I used it for.
The Oneida Super Dust deputy has oddball size ports. I measured them and this hose connector just fits if it's whacked into place with a rubber mallet. It may not quite be a normal application but it works. Nothing else did.
