Skechers Sport Men's Rig Mountain Top Sneaker

I work on a concrete floor; 8-9 hours, 5 days a week. These shoes are absolutely the best fitting and best wearing shoes I've ever worn. I'm 69 years old so I've worn quite a few different styles over my lifetime and these are by far the best. If there is any downside to them, it is that they are snug around top of shoe (ankle area) until you've worn them a few times. This does not bother me and I do use the shoehorn for a couple of weeks until the top has 'stretched' a bit and makes sliding foot in easier. Once they're on, they're fine and very comfortable. I wear a size 8 medium and these fit me as expected. I have 2 pair exactly alike; one I wear to work and the other I keep to wear on casual outings. They are easily my favorite wearing shoe. I think I'm on my fourth pair over last 6 years (?); give or take a couple years. I hope Skechers never stops production on this style. (review by Nelson Ashmore, Theresa's husband)

The shoe is very comfortable. Easy to slip in and out of and feels solid. The shoe looks good as well. The only concern I have is that after a few months, it has started showing signs of wear and tear. The sole has come off from the heel and the threads are coming loose from various places. I'll try to take pictures and post them soon to show the extent of how bad it looks now. I had purchased these shoes a few months back and wear them a few times a week to work. I have a desk job so not a lot of walking around and but I did go on a few small trips which involved a lot of walking.TLDR: Comfortable shoes but might not last long.

Given its name, this model seems to offer a cheaper alternative to better known trail slip-ons, such as the Merrill Jungle model. I am quite satisfied with the Sketcher as a general walking shoe for indoor or outdoor uses where one encounters relatively flat surfaces. The memory foam insole makes it a very comfortable wear. But the basic sole bed is too flexible for my taste on uneven ground, such as a walking trail. The Merrills are superior in that environment. If you have an opportunity, you might compare the feel of the Sketcher with a similarly priced Lands End model. My old Lands End slip-on has a firmer sole bed and has lasted very well.

A bit stiffer than other Skechers I own, and cost is now comparable to Merrell, and even a bit more expensive than Columbia, so no real bargain anymore like they used to be when they first came out, but still a comfortable, seemingly well made shoe at the outset. There's plenty of room in the toe box in the D width, and should not require any break-in. We'll see how long they last before beginning to break down in support, as that has been a problem I have noticed with other, lighter weight Skechers slip-on's I own, and I would have actually preferred something other than the suede finish since I will probably be doing some light trekking in them, but I wanted this design and open tread pattern. Some of the other Skechers have tread patterns that pick up wet sand, bits of grass, leaf litter, and small twigs and track the stuff into the house, so have had to start leaving them at the back door. These shoes should not have that problem.

I was looking for a pair of slip on's I could use during the winter. My summer canvas shoes were most definitely not comfortable when its below 30 degrees F outside (WI/MN winter). I came across these as a viable option, and not a bad price compared to some other brands. I have Skechers sneakers and lace up boots in size 10, so I ordered a pair of these in 10 as well. Unfortunately they were a little too loose, so I took advantage of the free return to exchange for a size 9.5. Those fit much better.The shoes take a little getting used to as far as putting them on if you haven't had similar shoes. The first few times might feel a little tight but it improves after a few uses. They keep my feet warm enough driving in the car and running in and out of stores, and I appreciate not having to lace up my boots when I just want to get my shoes on and get kids out the door. They have decent tread for walking on packed snow. I did notice this morning they were slippery on ice, but then again, there isn't much that won't be (and to be fair these seem more geared towards hiking than winter). They look nice, so can definitely be worn for many occasions. Of course they dropped in price by over half compared to what I paid for them 3 weeks ago, but that's not a valid reason to knock off a star, instead I'll just sit here and grumble. If you're getting them under $30, I believe they're a great deal.

I have to admit the biggest selling point for me was I didn't have to tie them. I haven't had to tie a pair of shoes in 5 years and I wasn't about to start when I got talked into going backpacking with some friends last weekend. I didn't want big heavy boots.I just wanted trail shoes that I could wear to work if I wanted. I took this pair to Linville Gorge on the Rock Jock trail and they were great, except maybe they were a bit too relaxed fit for trail use. First day my feet slid around a little too much, but next day I used two pair of socks and had no issues. Feet kept dry when I had to step in puddles and through little streams and they kept their grip climbing on a hillside covered in boulders. Very solid pair of shoes and I'll feel good using them when I go back out next month.

Love these shoes! This is my second pair of these (the first pair has a lot of life yet but I am afraid these are or soon will be impossible to find). They are super comfortable and I wear them much of the time. Fit seems true to size. One thing the buyer should know about these shoes is that they are VERY DIFFICULT to almost impossible to put on without a shoe horn. These are by no means 'slip on' however once they are on your feet they are at least as comfortable as any high quality sneaker and look great, especially when sneakers are not preferred. Also comfortable to walk all day long.

I bought these for my husband to wear casually. He loved them so much (and they looked good enough) that he began wearing them everyday to work. We purchased these a year ago, and he still loves them, but the material along the back where it wears against the back of the ankle is coming apart., as is the the back part of the insole. Ordered these for my husband who wears a size 8. He's got a broad foot with an average-height arch, but finds these shoes a struggle to slip into even with a shoe horn. Perhaps the materials will loosen up in time. Once his foot is inside the shoe, however, the fit and comfort are everything he hoped for. He loves these shoes. They're well-constructed and have a sporty-but-subdued look, perfect for an office where casual attire is the norm, and great for walking. Took off one star only because it's some work to slip them on.

These are really nice shoes, very comfortable. However I have a high arch and a bit of a hard time slipping into them, need a good shoe horn. May take a bit of time to break these in, but once they're on they are comfortable.

Amazon.ca offered these skechers men's shoes at the most affordable price. Man these are some quality shoe's and the look is so high end. Because of Amazon.ca my loved ones are getting the best gifts this year. Once he gets them I will update the review.

Shoes are comfortable immediately and stay comfortable all day long. Very satisfied with my purchase.
