Upon having the same question a number of reviewers had and unable to find out what is supposed to be the front of the underwear. I had tried wearing them both ways and they still worked and fit well. I reached out to LivDry and asked. The front is the part that is the side that the waist is unfolded from. They do fit well in this position and absorb daytime leaks. Thicker through the butt and crotch area, but still can be worn under jeans or loose pants without showing.Another question that has popped up in reviews is if there is plastic around the padded area, which the manufacturer said they was not, just a gel core.Very nice fitting underwear that absorbs leaks well.

He tried two pair, one in the evening and another the next morning and was so uncomfortable he had to remove them within 10 minutes because of the itchiness of the black material. The white material and the grey material on the inside is not itchy but the black material that is along the edges around the waist and the legs is very itchy. This was a failed experiment, and we can't even donate the unused ones because of the liklihood that anyone else might also find them too itchy to wear. Our hunt for a product that won't leak continues.

I love the way they fit and feel...but they dont live up to all the hypeI have tried these and the max ones too (8hrs) and they both leak badly and dont last more than 2-3 hrs at bestIf these lived up to the hype I would look no further but I am very disappointed in them cuz I have wasted over $100 on buying two trial bags and a caseIf they didn't leak so bad I would give them all 5s across the boardBut it is what it is so 1sand twos all the way
