Quality Spanish chorizo.

Great product. I use to buy a different brand at a local market but they closed. I couldn't find anything close in my area so I searched Amazon and found this. The reviews were right on target. I made a soup with it, added great flavor and color to the soup. White bean, chorizo, kale with orzo pasta. Good with pasta also. Will definitely purchase again. Seller got it shipped out right away too.

The flavor is only somewhat "picante" so don't worry about it setting your mouth on fire. It's a nice flavor note of heat but doesn't overwhelm the other flavors. I found this sausage, when slicing for eating raw as an appetizer, would always create a little leftover bolus you can't chew down and digest. You have to take the bolus out of your mouth (and that's *after* taking the casing off). It's a little gross if you are in front of other people. It softens if you cook it in a soup or stew like Caldo Gallego and then there's no leftover bolus. The flavor was a lot better than some cheaper ones I've tried though and it really spreads into the soup or stew the way a good Spanish chorizo should. I took off one star because of the unchewable part when you eat it raw.

I purchased this because I have a hard time finding good quality chorizo locally. This was not quite as spicy as I expected, but the flavor and texture were excellent (if I need a touch more heat, I can get it in a number of ways.) It was very good just for snacking, I cooked some with scrambled eggs and a little onion for a nice breakfast burrito, and we have used it in huevos rancheros. I will be keeping some on hand from now on.

Good flavor and taste, but the casing is not chewable . The filling also has some unchewable bits in it.Wish it had a little more heat in it.

Best chorizo ever for lentil soup or appetizer

I was worried this would be a to hot but it wasn't. I sliced it and, because its fully cured, I ate a piece while I prepped the meal. Great flavor, if I hadn't gotten busy I would have eaten all of it! Will be buying more in the future!
