Earthier taste than before but still works
Ughhhh, I’ve been gatekeeping this stuff for a while. I felt bad about seeing the recent bad reviews on it, so I HAVE to say something, before it gets possibly discontinued. First off, it’s SO hard to find a preworkout that actually works for training, that isn’t overridden with chemicals and excessive caffeine. I feel like this is the thing that everyone is looking for. A healthy, organic preworkout that actually works, but won’t give you potential cardiac problems or be too chemical tasting. I’ve been using this stuff for years. I remember being so stoked when I first discovered it. Here’s the thing, when it first came out, it tasted amazing on its own, just mixed with water and worked really well. I was working two jobs back then, at a high end salon and at a busy restaurant, working constant doubles and overtime shifts while barely sleeping. I wanted a way to boost my energy multiple times a day, without having to rely on expensive lattes that add up and are filled with seed oils in the creamer. I’m not kidding when I say throughout the years, I’ve gotten so many cans of this stuff. It’s because I also sometimes use it in place of coffee as well. HOWEVER, they did reformulate a few years ago and the taste definitely is more earthy now, you can really taste the beetroot, and it’s a more mellow energy boost compared to before they reformulated. I remember one of these containers I got before at a grocery store had green tea flakes in it and I used it anyways, bc I didn’t feel like wasting product. The container I bought after that one ran out didn’t have any green tea flakes in it. I tend to do a lot of bitter herbal teas and cleanses, so the taste of this doesn’t bother me toooo much, but I definitely noticed the difference from now, compared with when it first came out. The thing I do love about it is I don’t get the preworkout jitters. You know, that itchy/tingly/crawling in your skin feeling? I don’t get that anymore like I used to and I can take this multiple times a day as needed, without crashing too hard when it wears off I am now a stay at home parent to 2 littles, I have a newborn baby and a very high energy and strong willed toddler. I also run my own etsy business and have been pretty busy with orders lately. So I take this stuff as needed to keep up with things at home and to also have the energy to train. It helps me a lot on the days my baby had trouble sleeping the night before and when I have a busy day ahead of me. A way I’ve found helps tremendously with the taste is either blending it into a tropical smoothie, or if I’m in a rush, I just add a cup of frozen dragonfruit cubes to a shaker cup, add water and add a full scoop or half scoop for a preworkout style mocktail. I do feel like if they plan on reformulating again, if they intermixed some freeze dried pink dragonfruit and/or mango powder into this formula, it would taste sooooo much better, bc this preworkout pairs really nicely with that.

NO HEADACHE-NO LONGER RECOMMEND L
I've been experiencing severe fatigue due to mold (Aspergillus Fumigatus) from my apartment. I'm very sensitive to caffeine, so I started out with a small serving and gradually reached full serving-no jitters! I can put a full serving in my smoothie and drink in the morning, sometimes dabbing more thru out the day and no side affects. I'm still experiencing symptoms from the mold, but this gets me through the day, along with other supplements. Maca is an excellent substitute for coffee and they have a high amount in this. Many other beneficial ingredients. I avoid buying "natural flavors", had no choice here. Not to my liking at all. Sometimes the taste grosses me out, other times it's ok. I try to avoid "natural flavors". After researching through many websites, one recommended by my doctor, it gave a list of what they could put in the natural flavors. All unhealthy. One is MSG. UPDATE: THREE YEARS LATER, LAST TWO ORDERS CAME WITH THOSE FLAKES AS SHOWN IN MY PICTURE. Maybe they were always there, but I didn't notice them as I often putting it in the smoothie. But looking at the reviews now, I see others added the same picture. Don't know the time frame. I began drinking it in my car, prior to going to gym. I started spitting out these little things. So I started straining it before I drink it. I will finish product, but I will no longer be re-ordering this.

Tastes and mixes perfectly FINE
I was SO worried how it would taste after reading all the reviews—y’all are babies lol!! It tastes perfectly fine. Better than most, of you ask me. A little nutty perhaps, but also distinctly lacking the typical sicky-sweet saccharin flavor, so I find it quite pleasant! Also, it mixes perfectly fine in water (behold the miraculous wonder of the shaker cup!) It took 2 seconds to dissolve in my blender bottle. I literally took 2 sips before writing this to debunk the flavor issue, so have yet to experience the performance gain, but! I can already feel a calm rush of focus coursing through my body. There’s only 20 servings per container—again, not bad compared to other premium pre-workouts. I haven’t used one in a few years so I forgot how expensive this habit is lol. I can’t handle creatine based formulas anymore but love the drive that a good pre-workout gives so really really happy MRM is now making an all natural formula!!!!

Not what I expected, but better!
This product was much better than I expected. My husband likes preworkout and we use it instead of energy drinks. I dislike his brands so I tried this on a whim. Yes, the taste is not exactly black cherry, but it’s beets! And I LOVE IT! It works so well for a mid day lag, good flavor, and really gives me a great amount of clarity with minimal caffeine. I will keep reordering this and this flavor specifically.

Read Me.
Hey everyone! So here's some things to note about this pre-workout. In my past experience I've used C4 and Total War, and coming from that pre-workout, it's quite a difference. - Flavor: If you do not like beets or matcha green tea/tea, you probably won't like it. The taste in my opinion is earthy and slightly sweet, with a bit of grass. It's not overwhelming or overpowering, and tastes quite good. Of course this is subjective. - Energy: I've found that this preworkout gives me a slight boost in energy, especially when I am tired, but also found that it perks me up when I am already energized. Please note that this energy boost is NOT like Total War/C4, but rather gives you a "background" energy feeling that can be utilized for working out. If you are like me, who enjoyed TW/C4 but needed to lay off the copious amounts of caffeine, this is a good replacement. - Caffeine Rise/Crash: The caffeine effect provided has a slight presence when you first consume it, but no crash, rather-- a gradual decrease in your energy instead of it dumping all at once (like C4/TW). Additionally, for my nightly gym rats, you will not be up for 3-4 extra hours if you take this later at night, but it may impede your sleep SLIGHTLY whereas C4/TW will keep you up until sunrise. One scoop seems to have minimal effect on my sleep habits with it. - TLDR: That said, if you're looking for something to give you a HUGE caffeine surge that is presently known (an intense caffeine feeling), this isn't your product. It provides a more subtle energy, which is usable, but not near the dosage or material necessary to compare to C4/Total War. The subtle energy in my opinion is enough for someone to consistently take pre-workout, get the energy they need for their workout, and not get a severe caffeine addiction from it. - Further: For appropriate gains that my preworkout previously gave me, I would recommend you buy creatine monohydrate and BCAA (capsules). In combination, the creatine (for energy and endurance in the workout) and BCAA (for recovery and muscle growth) will fully encapsulate any lifter's goals. Also, for those of you complaining about it coming half empty. First off, it's half-full. Second, have you never eaten a bag of potato chips in your life? Stop crying about it, the actual powder supply is enough to last you a month of daily usage. I hope this helped. Ask any questions if you have any. Good luck!

Mostly effective, worth a try (with caveats)
I was a long time user of MRM's Driven product and I really like that one. If you are not super caffeine/stimulant sensitive, give that one a try, my fave was strawberry-kiwi. I have not used any pre workout product for a while, other than coffee before a morning workout. Doing that later in the day would mess up my sleep. Since I've had to train later in the day lately, I thought I'd give this product a try, especially since I liked the ingredients. Beets for the win! It is not tasty. I have tolerant tastebuds for a product I'm not going to sip and savor, and--more importantly--gets the job done. I'd say this one does just that. I was still concerned about messing my sleep up, but so far, even though I'll get in bed thinking "uh oh, I still fee energetic", I'll fall asleep well and my sleep app doesn't seem to indicate that my sleeping heart rate is too high. I took one star off for taste as I know most won't tolerate it well, and one star because it does not really provide quite the "let's goooo" feeling that conventional pre workout does, and I imagine most who would take pre workout are looking for that. If that's not you, consider it 4 stars.

WOW
I workout six days a week. I wake up at 6am and drink pre-workout and hit the garage gym for some fitness before my long day of practicing law and parenting a new born. I have used multiple pre-workouts including Genius, Jocko, The Ripper, C4, you name it. Every one of them gives me that tingly pre-workout feeling that helps me wake up and hit the workout... but then, 2pm at the office hits and my brain and body are crashing hard. I wanted something that was not full of chemicals I cannot pronounce. I wanted something that won't have me crashing when I am busiest at work. So I picked up this one. Not only did I have a great organic energy boost to wake me up and hit the workout, I continued to feel the energy throughout the day with NO CRASH AT ALL. If you care about what you're putting in your body and how it functions throughout the day, then I highly suggest this product. It's affordable, healthy, and tastes great. If you're fit, you don't need all that chemical garbage anyway. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

Looked good online but tasted bad in person
I want to like this product but I simply cannot get over the taste. The powder dissolves nicely and I appreciate that it is organic. I would be open to trying other flavors and I do like this company’s post workout powder but this pre workout one was a disappointment.
