Q: Is the silk screen on the cutters in the product picture incorrect? It has only Solid AWG sizes from 8-16.

Yes, the image is wrong. I ordered these exact ones, and the strip holes are arranged differently, as well as going to 6. It starts at 12 close to the nose, then 10, then 8, then 6, and then 14 closest to the cutters. These are the solid sizes, the stranded is 1 size smaller through the range, obviously. The srtippers I recieved were marked 45-618, which is Ideal's model number.

The top is 16 & 18 . The next hole is 14 & 16.

Q: Do these strip 6 awg solid wire? the description from ideal's site is unclear. thanks!

No, it’s not that big. It only goes up to 8 stranded (10 solid), but are awesome nonetheless
