So, I grabbed a pack of these Maymom 4.7oz bottles a while back, the 6-pack, because I needed something that would play nice with my Spectra pump. And honestly, they've been pretty decent, especially when I was just getting the hang of pumping. They screw right onto my Spectra flanges, no problem, which was a relief – didn't want to be fumbling around with adapters or anything. What I really appreciate is that the lids, these SureSeal things they call them, actually seal. Like, really well. I’ve had them tipped over in the fridge (thanks to my own clumsiness mostly) and no leaks, which is a win. I’d just pump, cap them, and into the cold they’d go. That 4.5-ounceish size is fine for me (small mom 4ft 10) I am not getting a ton of milk per session, so it feels like a good, manageable amount without wasting a giant bottle. Pros: They genuinely fit my Spectra. The box also says they work with Motif Luna, Ameda MYA, and Bellababy, so that’s handy to know. Those sealing disks are legit. No crying over spilled milk, literally. For starting out, six bottles felt like a good number to rotate through. Cons: The biggest thing is just the size. That 4.7oz (or 140mL, whatever) will fill up fast once my milk eventually comes in. I will have to look for bigger bottles down the road. So, if you’re already pumping a lot or expecting to, you might find yourself wanting to size up pretty soon. Bottom line? They are getting me through those initial pumping days without a hitch. They’re reliable for what they are, especially with the pump compatibility and the tight seals. Just know that for many folks, including me, they’re probably a stepping stone to larger capacity bottles down the road.

Easy to clean and a good size for me. When I pump, I get ~5-6 oz which is more than our usual bottles hold (my baby only drinks ~3oz at a time and is using 4 oz bottles). I especially like that it’s compatible with avent bottles so after portioning some of it into our usual bottle, I can just add the bottle nipple on top of this storage container and save myself some bottle washing. It also fits better in our thermos for easy warming on the go (the Philip avent bottle is wider and doesn’t fit in our Yeti water bottle with hot water). I also like that I can write the date on the lid with a ballpoint pen, but have found it doesn’t always remove completely. It may be more user error, since it does say to remove ink before washing, and sometimes my husband doesn’t notice before loading up the bottle washer. But I have found it stains even from just hot water (when I’m rinsing in the sink to remove the ink).

Great pumping bottles. Fit spectra. However, just note that it can weigh down the shield/flange. I don’t need the extra volume in these so I also have the smaller version. However, I really like to use these bottles to prep formula as we combo feed.

Overall they function, I love the ability to write dates on the top for when I don’t have time to put in bags for the freezer. 4 vs 5 is due to one of the lids cracking with in a week, however it still does not leak and is reliable for now! I go through all 6 every day and hand wash or throw in the dishwasher, either way they’re easy to clean!

Honestly, it's impressive that Maymom has built a small empire by creating pump parts that exceed the quality of the original parts. Not only do they make a wide range of flange sizes (SUPER important for pumping) and quality parts at a fraction of the price of the name brand, they actually improve upon the original parts. These bottles are superior to the Spectra bottles I have for two reasons. One, they HAVE MEASUREMENTS. It's so annoying to weigh my bottles on a kitchen scale because the Spectra bottles don't have measurement lines. Thank goodness these have markings to the quarter ounce!! And two, Maymom included two O-rings. Just a few days before my Maymom bottles arrived, I had a bottle drop from my Spectra mid-pump which resulted in a small breakdown with lots and lots of tears. I opened this box of bottles and saw a small bag at the bottom with the O-rings and a card explaining that this is not uncommon with Spectra parts since they don't always lock tight together, and the O-rings will help to prevent bottles falling. I was SO excited! Of course, now I'm using my Maymom flanges with my Maymom bottles, so I haven't had that issue because they lock perfectly together. But if I use the Spectra or Avent bottles again, I'll be using the O-rings for sure!
