Q: The CDC says permethrin does not kill nits. How can this product then claim to kill nits?

This product uses a low voltage that you can't feel. It shocks the lice to death. I'm not sure about nits, as they havent been born yet. I'd use a nit removal cream. Having explained that...the product is non returnable, and mine came not functioning. I have no recourse to get my money back or a replacement. It seems, by the comments, many people have this problem.

You have to make sure all the nits are gone it’s a pain but do another treatment in a week and a week after that. Check every night for nits you missed. Good luck.

Q: How does Nix Ultra kill eggs (nits) exactly? I’ve read multiple sources that say nits can’t be killed by suffocation because they do not breath.

Any eggs/nits that are 3/4 days old won’t die because they dnt have a neurological system yet, so it’s better to treat hair again in 7-10 days for any eggs that might have hatched since the first treatment. Hope that makes sense.
