10X Handheld Magnifier Antique Mahogany Handle Magnifier Reading Magnifying Glass for Reading Book, Inspection, Coins, Insects, Rocks, Map, Crossword Puzzle

Entirely perfect for my needs. Ideal lens size, very handsome antique look and has a nice heft to it about (the weight of a DVD remote control), that gives the impression of a much more expensive piece. Looks great in the leather cup on my desk. Contrary to one reviewer, this DOES have a metal frame and the last thing I would call this, is "cheap" looking. The handle is made of a heavy grade plastic and mine has an elegant rosewood design that looks great with the gold-tone metal frame. Any truthful buyer would not be disappointed with this purchase.

This is The Solar answer for a pocket survival fire starter, tested, and it’s durable design, glass resists scratching, comes with a quality pouch. I especially love the esthetics, the Rolex of magnifying glasses, unbelievable value. The short focal length produces accurate optics for fire starting on a cloudy day. Wonderful gift for outback Souls. This lens is a must have for a survival kit.

Used this for a Halloween costume. Got the job done

I hate to admit it, but for those of us older folks who find our reading glasses are no longer sufficient, this item has become a true help. As I spent much of my career staring at a computer screen, and still do to a large degree, I find my vision is simply not as sharp as it used to be. I moved to reading glasses 6 or 7 years ago as a solution and that got me by. However, I now find that the printed word in a book or an advertisement sometimes requires some additional resource to read comfortably. Truly, the fine print has become too fine. But this magnifying glass has helped out on more than one occasion. I like its slightly oversized lens producing a 10x magnification that provides enough width and height to allow reading more than just a word or two. Its mahogany handle is comfortable and easy to hold and the bag that accompanies it for storing prevents scratching. For a quick go-to product that helps solve minor issues with reading, this is highly recommended.

Before I got this, I read reviews and some people complaining about the “cheap look” of this magnifying glass. I don’t know what the expected for this price, but I was pleasantly surprised that did not look cheap. I keep it by my shrimp tank so I can see the little shrimpy’s. It does exactly what I wanted it to do, it’s a great price, and it works fine. I don’t know what the fuss is about… If you don’t want to pay a lot for magnifying glass get this one but no it’s not real wood or real metal for that matter. But it’s nice for the price.

Frankly, I was disappointed that the handle *is* cheap plastic., because the description implies that it's real wood. (I should have read the reviews more carefully.) That being said, it is a handsome item, not heavy to hold, and the lens has no distortion that is obvious to me. It is sufficiently powerful for my purposes, but it does not magnify things 10x. Frankly, I do not see how this product earned the "Amazon Choice" designation. It falls far short of what I have experienced with other "Choice" products.

This is the nicest little magnifier. I've bought several of them now. Either I'm getting older (nah!) or the print on medicine bottles is getting smaller, but I keep one in the bathroom so I can read the darn instructions. It's glass, so it's easy to clean and doesn't get scratched easily. I have these little rascals sprinkled all over the house.

I am not understanding all the negative reviews. I just got mine and perhaps I will be back in a week screaming, ... but I don't think so. I do not find it cheaply made at al. No the handle is not rosewood cut on a lathe. Hardly The frame appears to be a cast metal and the glass is clear and magnifies clearly across the width of the glass at a 6" distance without bending at the edges I just bought another for my wife 2 years later and I still love this magnifyer. I just purchased a 3rd one, but the other 2 are still doing fine with apparantly nothing breaking down. I will buy more as needed and reccomend this to everyone

Bought my husband a 3000 pce puzzle and this magnifier to go with it (he's going to need it). I was pleasantly surprised that something seemingly so simple was actually so impressive. It's beautiful and looks quite chic - as far as magnifiers go! It's solid with a clean construction. There were several wows when he opened it as yes, it's that bougie. He's happy, so I'm happy!

Si me ha servido y esta súper bonita

very nice product, packaging was excellent, item arrived one day late but it was not a problem

It functions as a magnifying glass, but the quality isn't great. Even considering the price.
