Amazing outdoor cameras
These cameras are amazing for outdoors, the image quality is very good and to record in color outside you really don't need much light, with public outdoor lighting it is enough to record in color, the audio detection is also very good, the transition Detection in night vision mode is fast and problem-free. The detection of vehicles and people works very well, tested at a height of 3 mts (9.8 ft) above ground level, the ideal is to use it between 2 and 3 mts high, although it can be used at more than 6 meters, this in effect reduces aspects detection. Continuous or detection recording work perfectly. The Wi-Fi has a good range and the software that is installed on the computer allows access to the cameras in both Wi-Fi and network mode. Currently the desktop software has a couple of details in network recording that I hope they correct in EZVIZ, it has a delay of between 8 and 10 seconds, that is, when it comes to recording using the camera in its network access version ( UTP) it does not start recording immediately, it starts like 10 seconds later, this doesn't happen when recording using the WiFi camera version. The recording on the smartphone works very well, and the zoom level is excellent, ideal for recording close-up videos using the mobile screen recording option. Remote access is very good, but it is better to use a network connection (UTP) than WiFi, because the latter is slow. The infrared has an excellent range, it has been tested at a height of more than 6 mts (19.6 ft) to the ground and it works very well and in low light conditions, it does not need to be turned on. Crossing a line or area works best between 2 and 3 meters, because this will depend on the identification of people or vehicles. The camera has been tested in very heavy rain conditions and it works without problems, it dries quickly. The features offered by the camera are just as they say and have been tested and evaluated. The display of records|logs could improve, and I say this even if have been a user of this camera for years, it would be nice the display format of the records with fast forward (dragging the mark and the video scrolling continuously), it would be excellent to be able to have continuous advance by scrolling, for now this is not possible, the video records (both on mobile and destop) can only be seen through increased playback speed (16X on mobile and 8x on desktop software) or jumping to a point X in the record, this limits the ability for quick identification. It would be also great to have a virtual mask function (exclusion area) just as we have the detection areas function

C3X - Best Night-Color cam at DIY Level.
Exceptional night color video with minimal ambient light. Records to user-supplied internal high endurance micro SD. 128GB gives 4 days of continuous recording. Email or Push alarm notification to app (without cloud subscription) when armed. Basic setup for nearly everyone's needs is fast on the phone app. Best detection without false is line cross. Upto 3 lines can be set. Later, you can invest your time for advanced tweaking / intrusion detection with EzViz studio for windows desktop. Disable video encryption for viewing other than on app. Connect to wifi 2.4n or wired ethernet - 12vdc but no POE. Sensitive internal microphone can be adjusted in studio.

Dual lense is the way to go
If u want the most sensitive video and smart motion sensor this is the camera to get. I've tried lorex fusion eufy and reolink etc. This camera has the furthest range and detection at day and night out of any camera I've tried. don't let the 1080p picture fool u. I've compared it to the 2k+ and 3k ptz model and it gives me the distant motion activation the others miss.i wanted a dome style camera but this is the only camera that worked for me.

App inferior. Night color great! Randonly offline 20% of the time after 2wks. DO NOT BUY!
Color at night. Not washed-out shades of grey. But if the camera is offline, what does color matter? But as stated below from first review, the app is very poor: Waay too many alerts. Plus shape detection does not work. Plus where app supposedly allows a free-form monitoring window to be drawn by hand across the field of view, simply does nothing. 2021-05-03 went offline randomly and cannot be recovered remotely. For this reason, I will cancel my suggestion to our condo board to buy 10 and try to return the camera. Too unstable. Bad. Bad. Bad. Total waste of my time in evaluation. And, yes, I know how to setup a network. It is the camera. Instructions say to press reset button. I'm supposed to climb a ladder? This is an unstable camera. Please beware and be informed. Stay away. Update: offline for 24hrs, suddenly came back online all by itself. Don't know what to make of this but cannot recommend this camera to our Condo Community. Too unstable. When offline, camera stops recording creating huge random gaps in the history and, yes, recording set to internal card not cloud. So why did it stop? Must require online connection in the background. Is someone spying? 2021-06-30 Offline for NO REASON last 24 hours. The down time was from the camera itself, not the net. Surely in the 21st century we can do better than this! Unstable. Update 2021-07-19: Last Wed went offline at 10PM then back online at 8AM Thurs! Exactly the hours we need monitoring! Had we not have reviewed the history, we would NOT HAVE KNOWN! Further: Of course we have VLC. Latest. Sound OK but no video. So whomever suggested this as a solution clearly knows not of what he speaks. The amazon community is going downhill. Sad. Very sad. Today 2021-07-19 after an internet hunt found a free media player that works. But we're not gonna share. HaHa! Today, 2024-01-01, moved to a new home and transported same modem/router and this camera to the new place. So from the camera's point of view, nothing has changed. Same hardware, same ISP, same passwords. But no connection! Why not? Fails with error “EZVIZ wants to join wi-fi network EZVIZ_F27227257”. That is an Ezviz network address. Checked ISP website and shows camera seen and connected. Thus the gateway to the cloud is open and running fine but the EZVIZ door has slammed shut. Why? No way to get help. I suspect EZVIZ retired the old URL EZVIZ_F27227257 to force us poor benighted, looser, customers to get the paid service. Churchill said "Never, never.... (5x) give up". I say "never (5x)" do business with EZVIZ. It would be unkind to expand this to "Never do business with the Chinese" but I am not going to go that far. But almost...

Very Easy Installation
Very easy to install and it just worked. I connected directly to router with an ethernet cable so I can't comment on its WiFi reliabilty. Purchased for a friend to watch wildlife on the Concord River. Picture quality is very good both day and night and the pan, tilt, and zoom has been working great. My friend added me to her watch list and I have had no issues controlling her camera remotely. Camera has a nicely designed smartphone app. I'll be purchasing another camera for my cabin in Maine. As it is not battery operated, it should work in the sub-zero temperatures in Maine.

Goid quality for its price
Bought 2 since i was dealing with a lot of criminal activity in our gated community and fell in love with it!! I got the subscription for the whole deal and it definitely works and alerted me! Definitely recommend 👌🏻 The only thing i wish was better was the following I noticed that when people were walking fast past it the camera didnt quiet catch their movements. So it is a little slow in that area. The night image quality is really good for what i needed so still recommend it.

NOT HOMEKIT COMPATIBLE but working on it.
PS - 7/18/22 I will revise this review pending my ability to use a Raspberry Pi and Homebridge program to bypass the Apple exclusivity. This camera does appear to be well built, it does work just fine on its own and with its app. But my original intent was to pair with my existing system. I’m working on it. Despite asking faq here on Amazon and finding an article on the internet that supposedly reported this device as being HomeKit compatible - IT IS NOT. So now after an infuriating battle trying to get it to connect to my Home app, I contacted customer service for them to plainly say it is not compatible. I wanted a Home app camera, that was the point. Now I just have another camera with another app that’s completely separate from everything else I own. Along with Nest now that Google ruined it. Why can’t things just work. Guess that would be too easy. And yes I know there are listed devices on Apple listed as compatible but they get horrible reviews, and the last thing I need is more frustration with crap devices.
