Must do for any LS1 owner.
Hopefully you have a new enough LS1 block and you don't have to trim a piece of the cast off under the valley cover. Get a 5/16 hose and connect it from the new valve port to the original pcv inlet on the intake and you are done. Of course, do your research first on how to remove your intake to get the proper tools, new hardware including gaskets, and your torque specs. Might as well replace your knock sensors, oil pressure sensor, and cam position sensor at the same time. No more oil in my intake!

Best upgrade to LS1 / LS6 engine to keep it clean
This is a PVC system replacement for your LS1 / LS6 cars and trucks. Get rid of the braking, leaking, ugly and expensive tube PVC system with this part. Takes some time to do the job but is lower price than the parts to repair the leaking original system and fits and looks nicer. My old system leaked all over and was broken all over. This is so much nicer and better quality. you must remove the entire intake manifold to install this system and might need a little trim in the valley of the block but this is the way to go. There are plenty of videos and instructions on how to install this system. You need to do this upgrade.

Genuine GM part. This is the LS6 valley cover with the integrated PCV check valve, so no need to run an external one. I installed this on the LQ4 in my 01 Silverado and it fit perfect. It comes with the knock sensor grommets already installed, GM gasket, and new bolts.

Junk or defective.
Either the one I received is broke or this thing is junk. I'm using this on a 600+ hp gto with a 3rd gen lq9 and an lsa blower. With 15" mg of vacuum in the intake using this cover I am only able to achieve 1" mg of crankcase vacuum and at 10 psi of boost crank case pressure slowly builds to 1.25 psi. By switching to the passenger side valve cover I am able to achieve 15" mg of crankcase vacuum at idle if I cap my crankcase relief that is set to maintain 8" mg of vacuum in the crankcase. Under boost using the passenger side valve cover port I am able to maintain .87" inches of vacuum because that's all that is being created with the car at WOT. DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK.
